theguru
Link Policy When posting links to 3rd party websites, all members must comply with the following: I. Copyrights and content usage guidelines - As a general rule, no more than 25% of the actual content of any 3rd party article/story/content/link can be re-posted directly to BGP. II. Quoted articles/stories/content must be accompanied by a properly operating link to the original source of the content being shared to BGP. III. When any member posts a link to a 3rd party website, that link MUST be accompanied by meaningful commentary in the post explaining why the link has been shared. This is intended to provide insight about the link without forcing anyone to leave BGP in order to understand the subject matter, as well as continuing to generate organic discussion in the thread rather than completely directing attention elsewhere. Meaningful commentary could include questions (one simple question will not be sufficient) intended to stem discussion, it can be some personal observations about the topic of the link, or it could simply be a summary in the member’s own words about what is contained in the link. IV. Videos and photographs being posted on BGP from 3rd party websites must be posted in accordance with the proper copyright and/or registered trademarks associated with those videos and photographs. Additionally, any photos or videos must be accompanied by meaningful commentary when they are posted. Video links directly embedded into posts via BGP's 'Insert Video' tool are sufficient for meeting the terms of the Link Policy. V. If anyone is in violation of our Link Policy, please report the post using the “Report Post” feature – the triangular “!” icon located in the bottom left-hand side of every post. Or, if anyone that is not a member of BGP feels that someone is in violation of our Link Policy, please contact theguru at: theguru@fuse.net to report any violations. coldweatherfan
I did not realize that SARS and MERS were coronaviruses. They've been acting like this is something new and unheard of. This is from the article that @sweet16 posted Coronavirus Mass Hysteria - American Greatness The SARS-CoV coronavirus was the cause of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in 2002. The MERS-CoV coronavirus caused the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in 2012. Remember the Bird flu in 2005 and the Swine flu pandemic in 2009? Then there was the Ebola virus panic between 2014-2016 and the Zika virus scare in 2018.
swamprat
Because of the over-hype of this virus, the NCAA and other organizations where people congregate have to overreact. Reason? Lawyers. The dangerous part of all this is when it blows over, people will remember the over-hype. If something really dangerous comes along they will ignore the media, ignore the CDC, and a lot of people will die.
MJAlltheWay24
I don't know where the two additional cases are, but it looks like Kentucky is up to 8. Ohio remains at 3 confirmed cases, which were all up near Cleveland.

Based on all the incompetence surrounding effectively diagnosing, quarantining, testing, treating and eliminating the Coronavirus in Americans we very well may already be in the stage where people are ignoring what they are being told. Only the elderly die from it though so it’s all good.
Jumper_Dad
Hearing rumors that BCTCS (the Community College on UK's Campus) is going to be online instruction only for at least two weeks after spring break. UK to make an announcement by the end of the week if they are going to be making any changes
Pura Vida
Among the growing cancellations I've heard about are the prohibiting of visitors from nursing homes. I agree with this for sure. But wow, how sad. This is what most elderly live for... Sorry to be the ray of sunshine this morning. lol.

I don't know if they already do this but it would sure be nice if the nursing homes setup areas where the elderly can Skype/FaceTime their loved ones on nice big monitors. Or something like that. Randy Parker
I don't know where the two additional cases are, but it looks like Kentucky is up to 8. Two more in Harrison County, making 5 total for the county. Two in Fayette and one in Jefferson. 8 total in Kentucky.
