UKs 3pt streak meaningful or not

I like that we are the leaders in consecutive games with a 3 pointer made, but how meaningful is it? Fans, players, recruiting...?

We’ve come close to losing it over the past couple of weeks.

Making 3s is more important than the streak. IMO every perennial contender should have a similar streak. 3-Ball is too big a part of the game now to not make one.

I don't see how it could mean anything to recruiting.

It means more to me than it should. I don't want to see them lose it. Figured at the start of the season that this might be the year it gets lost.

Now that they missed out on Zion and are going to the NIT this is the only thing I can root for. Meaningful...

I would prefer it to end rather than to read all the tweets from the Chicken Littles worrying about hitting a three rather than how the team is attacking.

Obviously it means nothing in the grand scheme, but I don't think it is a rabid fan thing as much as it is, as humans, we are genetically programmed to love streaks. Ever tossed a ball back and forth and kept count how many times nobody dropped the ball? Given up something for Lent?

That being said it is somewhat cool as a fan that you can say UK leads the nation in this. Once it's gone, I'm not going to keep up who would hold the longest current streak.

Also interesting that while UK has this "record", Vandy and UNLV (I think) are part of an elite group that have hit a three pointer each game since the three point line was introduced.

So UK’s streak predates the three-point line? No wonder the Cats got to 2k before everyone else.
