  1. Article 3.c leads me to believe that as long as a defender isn’t sliding under an airborne shooter, some foot-shuffling or even leaning away from the offensive player does not constitute a blocking call as it seems to have in the past. Would that be an accurate interpretation?
  2. How long has he been at GC? Are all his wins with the ‘Cats?
  3. Anyone starting Fournette at the Colts this week? If so, what’s your RB situation? For context, I need one of these to fill RB2... T Coleman @ Cleveland A Jones vs Miami T Cohen vs Detroit L Fournette @ Indy Add to those for the flex... C Godwin vs Washington S Shepard @ SF Non-PPR league, so I tend toward two of the four RB, but I’d listen to arguments for the WR as well.
  4. Really like the way Reid creates space to rebound and his strength. Hate everything else about his game.
  5. LeLakers, the K Love led Cavs , Knox at MSG, the Jimmy Butler saga, complaining about the difficulty the Warriors would have making chicken salad, not paying as much attention to the NFL(too violent for my taste), Markelle Fultz, Doncic, the Kings, Vince Carter chasing 25k points, the Spurs’ demise, Nikola Jokic, John Wall, Ulis finding a home, 76ers/Celtics/Lakers matchups. I’m sure there’s more. These come to mind.
  6. Theories that the spit came from Melo’s mouth, but the video evidence is inconclusive to me.
  7. Making sure Minnesota doesn’t get much in return for him! Veteran move.
  8. Who knew Kawhi has an all-time great laugh? I’m looking forward to this guy coming out of his shell and maybe even backing up the hype that goes with his play...
  9. So... Jimmy Butler requested a trade this week. That’s no surprise to anybody who watches the Association. Thibs is a mediocre at best coach who has continually used every 1/64” tread on his players’s tires. The organization is stuck somewhere between rebuilding and contending, which is the worst place to be. KAT is probably the most powerful person in the locker room. The trifecta of ingredients for running the best player out of town. Add to that, Andrew Wiggins’ brother is thankful Jimmy wants out, despite the probability that Wiggins will be best known for being traded for Kevin Love after being selected #1 overall. The real surprise is the list of teams on Butler’s wishlist: Clippers, Knicks, Nets. He and Kyrie have been tied to the Knicks, and I could see Kevin Knox being included in either of those hypothetical trades, but what is Jimmy’s goal here outside of getting away from Thibs? Either/any of those markets are huge, so maybe he’s working on his brand recognition? Does he see something in those rosters that I don’t? They can all offer him max money, but then again, so can Minnesota... Any way you slice it, we gotta thank LeBron for making player mobility such a fun part of the offseason. That guy really is somethin.
  10. Dwyane Wade to retire at season’s end One of my all-time favorites. These NBA retirements are starting to get at my emotions man. I’m feeling old. His announcement can be found with a quick YouTube search for “One Last Dance” or in the article linked above.
  11. Do we have any thoughts on Josh Gordon in NE compared to Sterling Shepard or Chris Godwin? Looking a little ahead I guess, but this week is an in-the-books L already. I’d give advice, but I’m staring down 1-5 across three leagues depending on how tonight goes...
  12. AD is head and shoulders above any player on the roster who would be involved in the trade, and I think he puts them in the WCF ahead of Houston, depending on the cost of acquiring him. That said, I think they’ll play for a spot in the WCF without him. Money aside(like money is ever put aside in the NBA) is five or six extra games enough to warrant blowing up a young core with potential? LeBron isn’t on his standard one-year deal, so I think he might be willing to be a little more patient. Whether that means waiting until the trade deadline or the ‘19-20 season, I don’t know. I do know he has never had a big as good as AD, so that’s intriguing. I’ll never root for the Lakers, but I’ll always root for LeBron, and I think either way, his situation in LA is one he’s happy to be in.
  13. Reebok The Question is my alltime favorite shoe, just ahead of the Answer 4 and Shaqnosis. The Zigs are super comfortable, but I’d hesitate to do much running or exercising in them. I also LOVE the Nike PG 1, obviously. Will get back to you on the 2 following basketball season.
  14. Regarding the “beef,” shouts to MGK for having the huevos to respond on wax. He’s just outclassed in this case. As Nas learned, if a bar or two inspires a whole song, the bar-spitter won. IMO of course.
  15. You don’t listen, you just skim through it. (No shade)
  16. Tiger was a point of discussion at the 18th annual wiffleball League last weekend and I think the 25ish of us reached an agreement that you don’t get Rory/Reed ‘16 without Tiger late 90s/early aughts. He’s done so much for the game that I had to stop following golf digest across all platforms because of the “why should we care about Tiger” crowd. To lump all internet users into one big stereotype, we find it fashionable to disregard any and all transcendent figures. Maybe Tiger doesn’t transcend golf, I don’t know, but I wasn’t playing before him, and I damn sure wasn’t watching before him... The game has him solely to thank for large viewership and huge payouts, yet he’s “just another guy” to the hardcore fans at this point, because they were all looking to Rory/Rickie/Speith/whoever to take his spot, and it can’t be claimed. Nobody can fill those Nikes. As you can guess, I’m jacked up for this year’s event.
  17. I think Tiger thrives on being the best at a solo sport where it’s on him to determine the outcome. When others can affect his results, that doesn’t set well with him. Again, I THINK...
  18. I think anyone who has followed golf over the last decade or so understands how differently this frames the event. Golf really is better when Tiger is good, and that’s saying a lot, because Reed and Rory a couple years ago were spectacular. What are you expecting, or maybe hoping, to see from him and the Americans?
  19. If we’re still pretending Kaep said something about the military then I’m not interested in the conversation, but if we’re going to talk about the source of his protest, without bringing up black-on-black violence(which is cringey to type) I got some time this week.
