Not a parent, and I wouldn't forbid my kid from playing, but there's no chance I actively encourage them to try it. As has been mentioned, the life lessons can be learned in just about any extracurricular, and at about half the physical toll, though after the Gordon Hayward-esque injury I witnessed last night on the basketball court, I might just ask the doctor to put my kids in a plastic bubble.

By rule, you get the entirety of every timeout, regardless who called it, but I like this rule a lot.

I think they should, but my question would be, is that number retired program-wide? Meaning, could a player on the freshman team wear a retired number until they reach the varsity level?

How long has the number restriction been in effect?

They can go 0-8 and still go to the Roy. I’d advise against it, but it’s possible... Unless, of course, you know about some 6-win clause that isn’t public knowledge.
