Yes, this is legitimate. Now that he has given his verbal, for clarity sake, here is a partial list of the schools that recruited him. Xavier, Louisville, Western KY, NKU, St. Louis, West VA, Clemson, Austin Peay, Oklahoma, Kent State, Toledo, & many more. X is one of the top programs in the country, is close to home, & did a great job of laying out the advantages of attending there. The other universities also offered wonderful options, but Dieonte felt like this was the best place for him. Looking forward to seeing him have a healthy successful season at Walton Verona this season & then moving on to the Muskies!

He got the offer yesterday. He committed on the spot. Congrats to him.

Yes. They extended the official offer to him Saturday.

Not that it matters at this point... but according to Travis Steele, he was offered yesterday. Again, congrats to the kid. I think it’ll be a great spot for him.

Considering that Travis Steele is the head coach at Xavier, I’ll take his word for it.

Don't. I can tell you first hand coaches don't tell the public what's 100 percent going on. They might tell you 25 or 50 percent of what is actually happening. Dieonte was offered weeks ago. 100 percent.
