  1. Yesterday it was 2.99 in Owensboro. 2 hours down the road in Louisville, it was 3.69
  2. We watched this when it first came out. Incredibly sick dude.
  3. “You mean I’m not getting the job that I applied for? Fine. I don’t want the job I applied for!! I’m taking myself out of contention.” -Probably how it went 🤣
  4. I would still take Hooker over him, but nobody is asking me. I do think they’ll both go in the first 10 picks of the 2nd. Barring trades, Titans, Raiders, Seahawks, Rams, and Saints are all there. 2nd round is a lot less risk. Shorter contract, way less money. And for the player, a lot less pressure.
  5. Does he just keep a suitcase full of clothes in his trunk?
  6. I don’t know if he applied or not. But generally, a coach of his level doesn’t apply. They have the conversation, and then once the job is offered, they apply so the Ts are crossed.
  7. I’m not so sure he’s never been selected. Bardstown has been great to him, and for him. Some pretty credible people told me that turned down Male before Haworth got it.
  8. He’s been the assistant HC at IUS the last 2 seasons.
  9. And apparently there’s mutual interest. Pitino is about legacy. Imagine if he can make St Johns relevant. I’d say this is locked up in the next week after Iona is finished with the tourney.
  10. The difference was, they actually threw the ball down the field then. Not like now where a QB might complete 20 balls for 170 yards. Couch was an absolutely elite athlete. The state of Kentucky had Chris Redman, and then a year later, Tim Couch. Mid 90s we’re a fun time.
  11. Actually, it’s doesn’t. And they can’t work that angle even if they want to. They’re stuck. Andrew Brandt was on McAfee yesterday talking about it. He said the contract reads like it was written by Watson’s agent. They have to pay him fully the first years, regardless of he plays or not. They can then void the last two. But the damage is done. No morals clause. No safety net. They traded their draft assets. The Browns will always figure out a way to be the Browns…
  12. Am I the only one that thinks it’s odd they recorded the phone call? There’s definitely going to be more gossip juice to this story.
  13. Has a real chance now to go from a top 50 player, to top 25, and a burger boy.
  14. Coach K would absolutely support him “coming home” and advancing his career. Have you seen the video from earlier this season when he presented Smith with the game ball after the Louisville game?
  15. Miquel Coleman. That’s it. Dude is so great at his job.
  16. Finally finished “Part 1” last night. Funny watching how all of the dynamics continually change. Part 2 is set up for some “scorched earth”. Can’t wait!
  17. Probably because the principal is a football guy and got tired of hearing about him putting out job feelers every year. He is a great hire. I’m close to someone that coaches in Lexington. He told me - couple months ago that he’d heard Atchley was locked in at Lafayette.
  18. If the headline starts with “Florida Man”, nothing that follows should surprise you.
  19. I take a lot of Tito’s. Sometimes with Red Bull. Mostly with Gatorade.
  20. True. But at that point he was declining. 3 ypc in his last season. A lot of carries on that body. He did workout for a few teams. Eagles, Texans, Lions at least. But yes. No takers.
  21. The NFL has proven over and over again, if you’re talented enough, anything can be overlooked.
  22. 3 sides to this story. His, theirs, and what really happened. If AB really got mistreated, the Bucs should be penalized. But he has so little credibility at this point. Hard to take him seriously. One thing about the NFL though, all of the sidelines are mic’d up. It’ll be interesting when audio starts “leaking” as to what was actually said. Putting out that statement is going to put the Bucs on the defensive. This thing could get a lot uglier.
  23. This thread is too long to read through, so if someone has already said this, I apologize. I think the difference in the game was so simple. The trenches. Cincinnati couldn’t keep Bama’s D-line out of the backfield, and their D-line couldn’t get any type of push to disrupt the run. I love the way the secondary, outside LBers, and special teams played. And hopefully Coach Luke can keep building. Overall, Alabama is the most talented team in the country. But there wasn’t a massive gap anywhere except on the lines. Pierce had that drop in the end zone on a ball that he usually comes down with. That was a momentum killer. But other than that, Ridder never had time to let any type of play develop.
