Per the Pendleton County vs. Robertson County final score thread.

 

This one deserves its own thread, for sure. That's a HUGE accomplishment!

 

His 53 points last night put him over the 3,000 mark with 3,044 career points, and slid him in at #30 on the all-time career high point scorers in Kentucky.

Looks like he is headed for #2. It will be interesting to see if he can get the top. Possible, but it would be a feat.

 

Crazy to look at that list and realize how many of those guys made it to that list before there was ever such a thing as a 3-point arc.

Would people think it is bad form to allow Dontaie to go for the record? The assumption being that if PC is up big that Dontaie would continue to play and continue to score. I for one do not think it would be out of line to allow the kid to chase history even if that means blowing some less talented teams out.

Another thing that was pointed out to me by a high scoring player from the past:

 

There was no 1 and 1 for fouls. That can contribute to a lot of extra free throws over the course of a career.
