Possibly harder for a player to start/play the needed minutes in a more populated area.

Or could it be the size of the school that someone plays for have more of a determining factor? A player at a place like a Williamstown is more likely to get minutes as an 8th grader and freshman versus some place like a Scott County. Smaller school likely means less competition for varsity minutes. Just a thought.

I think it plays a part, in some situations more than others. But I think with someone like Dontaie, and especially this year, the team is HEAVILY dependent on him in so many facets. He's their best everything, so he's just going to get opportunities galore.

Without an injury...I would think DA will score another 800 pts this year putting him as #2. I really don't see how he could get to #1.

Congrats to him on such a accomplishment.
