FarBeyondDriven
You can post all of the "broad brush" pics you can find, but the fact is that MANY on the left look down on those they deem "not worthy". Your sarcastic one liners and pics are a great example.

Jumper_Dad
I think a lot of people look at Donald as just being dangerous, but just like it seems that women pass up a good guy who has his crap together for a dangerous dude with an arrest record. Some people are gravitating to Donald the Dangerous. He's kind of the bad boy of politics right now and for better or worse that is working for him...at least in ht e short term. Hellcats
I TOTALLY disagree. Small business takes the biggest hit from socialistic policies, large corporations in turn benefit from it. Some would argue it's the freedom big corporations operate with that enables them to bully out small businesses.

Just so we're clear, I'd like to ask all of the progressive socialist on here, if they are ok with and prepared to divide up their paychecks, redistribute the money to everyone around them. Looks good on paper huh?

Looks good on paper huh? Your version of socialism is communism. They are pretty different. Comparable to saying facism and capitalism are similar in economic theory. Socialism does control some large corporations such as: auto industry and resource based industries. When you think about it our government was in control of the auto industry with its recent bailout, and could be in control of the oil industry if an oil bailout is on the horizon. Bailouts = socialism. Capitalism would let that business fail. We would all be driving Fords after 2008. The great thing is we can pull what works best from all systems if we are intelligent and don't "build a wall" between us and different ideas. I don't think anyone is calling for all out Socialism. Universal healthcare, post secondary educational opportunities for all, and stock market regulations that don't gamble away our economy.

Getslow
Communism vs Socialism - Difference and Comparison | Diffen Even then there are subtle differences within the groups. While Lenin believed every aspect of an economy should be supervised and directed by the authorities, Leon Trotsky believed that central planning was foolish and that no group of experts could possibly foresee every eventuality and account for everything in something so complex as a national economy. In that sense, Trotsky strangely found himself in the company of contemporary and subsequent Austrian school thinkers like F.A. Hayek who opposed John Maynard Keynes' methods of trying to control the economy.

It was all about socialism ... certain state programs will benefit, others will not, in the next couple years. He even wants more money to boost the roster of social workers. There is a pretty distinct difference between state run programs and the allocation of state revenue, and a state run economy which is socialism. Social workers to investigate child abuse/neglect and adult protective services. It has zero to do with socialism.
