I'm still of the opinion that the folks supporting Trump now are willing to jump to another candidate once Trump finally crosses the 'I'm too crazy/arrogant to be president' line.

It's not him I don't like, it's his solutions to real issues that is bigoted and discriminatory. I also understand there is a certain portion of society that thinks the way he does and think he is speaking the truth. In reality, he is just using the ignorance of some people.

 

He has run a very smart campaign,. You can't deny that. However, he does NOT have a majority of Americans supporting him. Show me where he clearly has the majority.Just the most Republicans according to polls.

Could you note what he said that is bigoted and discrimatory? Several people repeat that talking point but I've not seen any of them pin him down on it. He may be, I don't know that's why I'm asking.

I would call spying on mosques and refusing immigration to Muslims (a religion as opposed to a geographical area) as bigoted and discriminatory. But that could just be me.

If Republicans could somehow get the field down to trump, Cruz, and Rubio, there is a chance he may not win, BUT these guys keep hanging on he's locked in.

I think it's a matter of we've all seen what the "same 'ole" politicians have done for us. Trump is a businessman. He's different. Some people just want change.

If the point is that us naysayers who do not like him were wrong about his viability then you are 100% correct. It's shocking but it is happening.

 

IMO he is bad for the country TODAY much less if he sits at 1600.

While I believe Trump's popularity is mostly because he's tapped into the anger of a large sect of Americans, I do think what you're saying has something to do with it as well.
