Sports Cliches I Detest

Let's start out with this one.

 

"If he/she/they want to win, (fill in the blank)."

 

Of course they want to win.  That's why they keep score.  If the announcer would just say "If he's going to win", or "To have a chance of winning"; that would be acceptable.

"They're feeding off each other."

 

Just.  Ick.

That always left me baffled. When I was a kid I would hear the great Cawood Ledford say this . I would look at my radio and then pick it up and walk to the other side of the room and hold it in front of me and turn around. It just never made any sense to me.
