Record: 12-3

The second most wins in program history accompanied Cooper's second state finals appearance. The road warrior Jags won at Scott County, Southwestern, and Highlands before falling by two scores to Bowling Green in Lexington.

?Cooper's 2023 Statistical Leaders

? Jack Lonaker (LB/OL) | Lucas Hughes (OL/LB) | Mason Baesel (OL/DL)

? Austin Alexander (DE/TE) | Cam O'Hara (QB) | Isaiah Johnson (WR) | Keagan Maher (RB) | Malachi Ewell (WR) | Christian Brown (OL/DL) | Noah Reichel (OL) | Mason Stanton (LB) | Isaac Brown (DB) | Ryker Campbell (DB) | Austin Perriman (DB) | Josiah Pouncy (DB) | Colton Graham (DL)

2024 Outlook

The bulk of the heavy hitters are back, with minimal graduation losses. Losing Lonaker hurts. He was a pillar of Cooper's success last year, but the shine gleaming from Alexander, O'Hara, and Johnson may blind everyone on their schedule. Add Maher, coming off a breakout sophomore campaign, and the Jags look primed for another run to Kroger Field.

  • Not sure why all the discussion on Cooper's QB being injured is so important. Injuries are part of the game and let's just hope ALL players from ALL teams stay healthy.

Very good team. I’m interested to see their 2024 Schedule. Will it most likely mirror their 2023 schedule?

Yes, I would think this should be year 2 of two year deals for teams. Unless they played in a bowl game, then it could switch up a bit.

Kegan Mehar ran one the best 40s 4.43 at the Best of the Midwest!

They’re going to smoke teams. This kid is their number 3 weapon on offense and they have SEC QB pulling the trigger. You better hope you have a front that can get pressure on O’Hara.

It will be interesting to see the impact of losing those two ILB's. Cooper was particularly solid up the middle against physical runs, much in thanks to those two. While I know the Jags have lost very little, those two guys were some exceptionally nice blue collar grunts in the heart of that D.

They're gonna be ok at ILB.

If they don't miss Lonaker at LB, that will be impressive. He was a dude.

No arguments there. Jack is a great leader, player, and teammate. Has a great family too.

Having Coach B. back on staff is an absolute bonus! His 50+ years of experience to a staff that is already very good will only enhance the teams development. The Jags are working their tails off and have embraced the attitude of "Nobody Cares, Work Harder".

While the 3 seniors that started, as well of the other 8 seniors, will be sorely missed no doubt, but the team understands that it wasn't just good enough to make it Lexington, they want to finish.  Cooper is firmly aware that the target is firmly on their back in NKY and in a very tough district which is why I'm sure the staff is making it clear to the players to understand that NO TEAM will be taken for granted or underestimated and everything MUST be earned in order for them to reach their ultimate goal of trying to win their first football championship.

On paper, Cooper is loaded returning basically the entire team, however, games must be played and aren't won on paper.  They should be fun to watch if it all comes together.

They have Mason Staton who has been a 3 year starter and the kid that moved from Ohio last year. Jack was a great player.

Same @Purple88!

Does anyone have Cooper's 2024 schedule?

Great review of the Cooper Jags. Great team. What kind of depth do they have at QB besides what I saw in the State Finals when O'Hara went out for a couple of series?
