Many things could be said here but not many of them good. So, I will say I'm appreciative of WC QB Dunn's effort along with BG RB Graham's effort.

WC kicks off and was a good kick as it was away from Jett Reynolds and BG pushed it out of bounds at their 21 yard line. Nice crossing route pass to Woodard for about 45 yards. Graham for about 5. Pass to Davis for about 3. Graham for a first down. Pass incomplete, Pass incomplete. Graham for about 10. Graham runs in for a BG TD. BG 28 WC 0 3Q

BG 2 haphazard plays now 3rd and 10. Nick Graham runs with a lot of effort for 5. 4th and BG to go. Penalty on WC equals first down BG. Graham for 5 yards. Incomplete to the tight end. Complete to Gaithrit for about 4. 4th and 1 TO BG about 1 minute in the half.

WC goes on 4th down and its a very good pass from Dunn and should have been caught but incomplete. BG ball with about 2 minutes left in half up 21-0.

Touchback. WC will start on their 20 yard line. WC with 2 nice runs brings up 3rd and 2. QB Dunn runs for WCs first first down of the game. Nice hard run. Personal Foul on BG. Now into BG territory. A couple short runs and a big sack on 3rd down. 4th coming and WC takes a Timeout. Likely going for it. About 2:30 to go in the half. BG leading 21-0. 4th. Penalty on WC so that makes it about 4th and 20 so WC calls TO #2. May punt now. Back into WC territory.

Touchback. WC will start at their 20 yard line. WC had a couple good plays to set up 3rd and 2 but Dunn sacked on 3rd down. WC will punt. Jett Reynolds returns to the WC 20 yard line. BG first and 10 TE drops a TD. Nick Graham with some nice plays and then I think Jett Reynolds runs it in for BG 21-0 BG with about 7 minutes to go in the first half.

WC starts at their 5 yard line. WC had a nice run; then on 3rd down QB fumbles and BG recovers at the WC 1. BG QB Anthony Davis under center and hands to RB Nick Graham TD BG. BG 7 WC 0 1Q

Bowling Green 49 at Warren Central 0
BG kicks off and WC takes their first possession starting at their 18 yard line. BG blitzes on 3rd down and sacks WC QB Dunn. WC to punt. Jett Reynolds returns to the WC 18 yard line where BG will begin first and 10. Terrible snap on 1st down and BG recovers near midfield. Goodness. BG incomplete on 3rd down and forced to punt. Nice job WC. Terrible start for BG.

2026 Formula 1® Racing
The last Grand Prix was in Azerbaijan. Where the heck is that? It's basically as far as you can go in Eastern Turkey and then throw a softball further east and your there. The race is run in the ancient city of Baku located on the Caspian Sea. This was a decent race. George Russell of Mercedes was fast all weekend and earned pole. His teammate and championship leader young Kimi Antonelli hit the wall on his second run of the opening round of qualifying and had to start 16th for the race. He was noticeably cautious starting the race as that was his first error maybe of the whole season and he didn't want to repeat that error early in the race. But that mind frame (good or bad) didn't allow him to move up the board as timely as you'd expect and he settled in at 5th place at the finish line between the two Ferrari's of LeClerc in 4th and Hamilton in 6th. The two Red Bulls finished 2nd (Verstappen) and 3rd (Hadjar - who likely had the best drive - this his first race back from injury and in some way better than Verstappen, but Hadjar knows this is Verstappen's team. Why do I say that? Well early in the race Verstappen was on Hadjar's tail and team order mandated Hadjar let Max by, which he did. Multiple laps later the shoe was on the other foot for a lap or two and no team order could be heard. Is what it is.) Russell probably had the best car overall and won even though some late yellows nearly allowed Verstappen to pass Russell for the win on the final run down the main straight. So, Russell makes up about 20 points in the championship and now trails his young teammate by 66 points or just under 3 full races. So it's not over, but Antonelli would have to screw up a lot to lose it at this point even for the youngster he is. The 2 Haas drivers of Ocon (who will not be driving for Haas next season) and Bearman both scored which is great for them. And the Williams of Carlos Sainz in an upgraded package for this race gets the last point in 10th. There was a major mess/crash on a restart with the Alpine of Colapinto who came into Turn 1 too hot and took out his teammate (Gasly) and Lando Norris among several others to end what was a really good day for Alpine. Shame really. I have held off for awhile to not bash Aston Martin, but it's time. There has been alot of Laurence Stroll's billionaire money spent on this team getting the reported to me and everyone else the best racing designer/engineer in Adrian Newey who is now Aston Martin's managing director. They have a 2 time World Champion, although his best days are behind him. Just the facts. And they have the owner's son, who is clearly to me the worst driver on the grid. They have been especially bad this season. So much so, that new startup Cadillac who has only been a team for a matter of months now seems ahead of Aston Martin, as both Cadillac drivers were ahead of both Aston Martin last week. Now they have resigned Fernando Alonso for the 2027 F1 campaign. While on one hand I understand that, on the other shouldn't you just clean house and restart next year as you are dumpster fire right now. Until that happens, I don't think Aston Martin is in consideration for anywhere in the midfield.

I like they added Portugal and Turkey. New tracks are good to infuse some newness to the calendar.

Paducah Tilghman 37 Logan County 7
4A Paducah Tilghman (6-0; 2-0 District) at 4A Logan County (5-1; 2-0 District)Disclaimer: Sorry this is later than I wanted but it was my last Parents Weekend at WKU this weekend, so had to show up! Go Tops! The Blue Tornados will load the buses and head east for about 2 hours to Russellville to take on their district rivals the Logan County Cougars. In last week's BGPs 4A rankings, Paducah Tilghman was #4 and Logan County was #7. These are two good football teams. The teams ahead of Tilghman are also very good teams but likely have more fans than any other teams on BGPs. Does that influence? Yes, but I think those spots are earned as well. Last season, I recall this game in Paducah and most including myself wrote the Cougars off. But Logan County may have played their best game of the year in this one fighting the whole way and finally falling 35-27 with the game not decided until the 4th Quarter. So here we are again with this time in Russellville. Logan County Cougars Information (TP94 Rating - 62.89)The Cougars have handily defeated Daviess County, Russellville, Greenwood, Allen County Scottsville and Calloway County. They did fall on the road in Week 2 at McCracken County by 1 point in OT. But the Cougars have rolled since. They are led by QB Luke Rodgers, RB Lane Bush and WR TySean Thomeczek and defensively by Carson Carlock and Kenton Holloway. Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornados Information - (TP94 Rating - 89.31)The Blue Tornados are undefeated overcoming Graves, Mayfield, Madisonville, Franklin Simpson, Allen County and McCracken County the first game of the year 64-36. Tilghman is blessed with a very talented offense led by transfer QB Xavier Isable, RB JaAubrey Sherrill (among others) and a talented WR stable led by Avery Thompson (among others). The Tilghman defense is led by Terry Rage Henderson (among a host of others; I just like saying that name "Rage Henderson"). Game InformationThis game IMO has strong similarities to the Madisonville game last year in Madisonville where we all really didn't know what Madisonville had and knew Tilghman was good but in a way untested at that time anyway. This game has some of that stigma for me. I'm not saying Tilghman will lose this game, but I am saying Logan County will be well prepared and won't lay down in this game. I mean Tilghman has been putting up a huge piles of points per game and at least 40 every game. Logan has only given up 40 one time (to McCracken) and lost. So, if Tilghman does their thing, they win. Plain and simple. But going back to the Madisonville game last year, Tilghman had scored nearly 50 points every game up to that Maroon game and then only put up 22 and fell in Madisonville's best game last year. I feel Logan will have to steel this Maroon playbook in order to come away with a win here. Tilghman really struggled in that game and for Logan to win the Blue Tornados will have to do the same on Friday night in Russellville. My prediction is that will not happen, but that Logan makes it close for a while for sure. What say you?

5A Bowling Green (2-4) at 5A Warren Central (1-5)I show my age in this thread, as this was "THE Rivalry' I experienced growing up - Bowling Green vs Warren Central. It was "The Game' and meant everything in town at that time. And now that I have more grey hair than I want, I have a respectful place in my mind for the Dragons for those old battles back in the day. But those days are gone. Warren Central Dragons Information - (TP94 Rating: 20.59)The Dragons have talented players and that starts with their SR QB LaTavyon Dunn who was 6 for 13 for 200 yards 2 TDs vs 1 INT in a close match vs Franklin Simpson (falling 28-20). Dunn also ran the ball for 30 yards in this game. JR Derwin Carver had 7 carries for 50 yards for the Dragons in that Franklin game. The top pass receiver is SR RaMaun North with 6 receptions for 125 yards and 2 TDs for this game. Defensively, Central is led by JR Jonah Chatman who had 12 tackles vs Franklin Simpson. Bowling Green Purples Information - (TP94 Rating: 61.53)In the past 2 seasons, BG is 1-10 in non-district games losing by a combined score of BG 137 vs Opponent 401 or roughly 36-12 loss. In the RPI world, that is unsustainable. Hosting playoff games matters and seeking that advantage is important. Last week, Bowling Green fell to CAL by a score of 70-21. BG was defeated by Paducah Tilghman 70-0 in 1969; the only other time anyone scored that many points on BG ever was 57 years ago. These past two seasons have brought decades old records into the picture. Game PreviewFor Warren Central, just go for it; you have nothing to lose. For BG, you have to wonder where the players confidence is at this stage of the season. BG is the better team on paper, but we will see. Thursday Night football before Fall Break! Who wins this old rivalry and why?

South Warren 56 Meade County 0
6A South Warren (4-2) at 6A Meade County (1-5)THURSDAY - OCTOBER 1st GAMEDistrict Season is upon back upon us in 6A District 2. And it will be a laundry district for the Spartans. What do I mean by that? South will wash, rinse and repeat each district game; they will be uneventful blowouts. They have already blown the doors off Christian County 42-0. My question is will any district team score on South? I'll say no. Game PreviewGood Job by Coach Smith to move this game to Thursday to give his players another day off for Fall Break. For Meade County, I'm not sure what to tell ya. This ain't Taylor County (Meade's only win on the season). For South, you are now into a section of your schedule you will running clock from here into the playoffs IMO. The South coaches must find a way to keep focus up and progressing forward because the big 6A teams at the end aren't going backwards. South BIG!!! Dress the Freshman……
