Important thing to remember is that, right now, winning isn't important. It's all about keeping numbers consistent and getting better each day. Certainly winning will help with the numbers issue, but coach will have to find a good core that won't mentally and emotionally check out when the going get tough. Let's hope he does and that they avoid the injury big in those early stages. NKY is better when Bellevue football is fun.

I wish the 9th Region had a place similar to the Mason Co. Fieldhouse. Big enough to feel special, small enough to maintain atmosphere.

Holmes, Conner, or Ryle are all fine locations for the Regional. It's less about location and more who is administering the tourney. If the people running it really care, it will be smooth and successful. I used to see too many people treat it as an inconvenience instead of an opportunity.

I'll openly admit I'm not trying. I've seen maybe 1 NBA game in the last 15 years.

For fans, HS gyms are best. For officials, media and players, the college arenas are better for the regionals. Officials don't have fans chirping directly in their ear, media doesn't have over flowing crowd standing on the floor in their way, and players get that feel of being in a bigger environment, like they will feel at Rupp. But for fans, they can feel disconnected from it all in the bigger showcases.

I know playing at NKU poses unique problems due to arena availability, but the schedules in recent years seem so disjointed. Girls play round one and then don't play for nearly a week? Guys play one set of Rd 1 games on Monday and the other set on Wednesday? God bless NKU for allowing them to use the arena, but let them get some kind of flow.

They lost me after Malice at the Palace. Games are also too hard to find. When I was growing up, it was Tuesday and Thursday on TBS and Saturday and/or Sunday on CBS. Now it's TBS, or maybe TNT, or ABC, or maybe ESPN or ESPN2 or Ballys if you want to watch only the Cavaliers. Running into the same problem as baseball. If you want people to watch, make it easy for them to find it and watch it.

No way do I blow everything up for an OSU quarterback. Fields is still an unfinished work, but Pryor and Troy Smith were complete disasters. Haskins was on his way to that before his unfortunate passing. The track record just isn't there for me to start over with an OSU rookie.
