I think either is fine.   Just avoid the Tassini era Steelers knockoff logo.   Love ya coach, but was never a fan of that.

We played the Juggs when I was at Mason. They went from the Steeler look with Coach Tassini to a Pitt Panther look with Coach Lucas.

They had some nice ball clubs and it developed into a little bit of a rivalry for us. Had two big playoff games there in the mud and rain, November of 2001 & 2002. Great ballgames.

After Mason County eliminated Lloyd in back-to-back seasons, the Juggs made it to the semifinals in 2003 where they lost a home game to Belfry in the snow and bitter cold. Belfry would win their first title a week later.

A couple of oddities about Lloyd Memorial football: They won the state championship in 1965 without actually "winning" either of their first two games. The Juggs tied Mount Sterling, 13-13, but made more penetrations inside the 20-yard line than did their opponent so they advanced. In the semifinals, Lloyd tied Fleming-Neon, again 13-13, after scoring a late touchdown. Lloyd again advanced on penetrations. They would finally win comfortably in the state championship, 27-0 over Old Kentucky Home.

Lloyd failed to make the playoffs again until 1976, where they romped over Whitley County and Belfry before posting another state championship shutout, this time 24-0 over Shelby County.

I’m sure glad we don’t settle playoff games like that anymore.
