Of all the games I have reffed, their field was one of the worst. Felt mushy and then a hard spot. Very surprised there weren't more injuries, but thankful. They needed this.

Cooper was the better team. I left with about a minute left and Cooper had 3 girls in double digits while Ryle only had 1. #50 for Ryle is a problem for anyone. Cooper is too athletic and long at all positions and play well together. Good game all around.

First half was sloppy. Multiple travels and basic mistakes on both sides. Conner went cold for several trips down the court and had no answer for Ryle's #50. Conner couldn't get it under 10 for the 4th quarter. Just couldn't see the ball through the basket.

I am an official for football, soccer and basketball. There is a shortage. I don't let parents bother me but not all people can move past the things that are said. I have been threatened and called names, no matter the call. Younger people don't want to get on this end of all that negativity. If something doesn't give soon, us old folks will retire and there will be nobody to replace us. Then what?
