BirdBrain
Didn't ask anyone to delve into his personal life. People seem to know or think they know about his past coaching stops & have taken backhanded shots but with no substance, just sizzle. Everyone that I've heard who is interested & applied (Minor, Fromeyer, Stapleton, Sullivan) seems to be of the same mold as Carr, intense & demanding. I believe this is true, and so those people have commented about what they know. I do not believe that the coaches you named are all from the same "mold" necessarily. It seems you need to do some research on your prospective coaches backgrounds. I would suggest you not rely on anyone on this board to do that work for you, as it appears that most are willing to leave the comments where they are at this time. Basketball12345
Sullivan was an assistant at Scott prior to Carr coming, and I believe he may have been a candidate for the job when Carr got it. Sullivan's wife is currently a teacher and the volleyball coach at Scott. Don't know if he applied or would be interested in the job though. Seems like it would be a lateral move at best... Why would Sullivan even apply. He should win regions next year easily. He has one of the best players in the state. Plus 2 younger kids that will be 2 of the best players in the area in the next couple years. Plus why come to a district where you get very little support from central office. Sullivan will not come to Scott as much as I'd love for my son to play for him. Scott will probably hire a coach who gives kids equal play time. The hiring committee has the mom who whined the most as one of the 2 player parents doing the interviewing.

I can't imagine him walking away from what he's built at Cooper to start over anywhere. He's already in one of the top few jobs in NKY.
Basketball12345
I just don't get why schools have parents on the committee. Defies logic. Because we have become a society where we conform to the kid. The kid needs to learn to conform to the coach. 20 years ago we used sports to teach life lessons and the kid got to learn why he have the enjoyment of the sport. Today we hurt kids feelings by not giving them a medal or trophy or playtime. My dad told me work harder get better or sit. It transitioned into my career I'm not always better but I'll out work you if that's what it takes. Parents are setting their kids up for failure in the future. Let's hope we get a mentor as good as Carr at Scott in the next week or so.

I have not read this thread but just maybe in some cases a parent wants the best coach possible with no personal agenda.
bigbopper
Sully isn't going anywhere. The future is bright at Cooper. Why would he go into that Cluster you know what at Scott. The thought of Sully going to Scott is complete Madness.
Basketball12345
But that doesn't answer the question as to why a school would have a parent involved. Cause that mom went to principal every day EDITED her son didn't play any varsity time. So the principal said ok you can be on committee to pick next coach. Now if she comes back whining he can say you chose the coach. Kenton co is so afraid of anyone going to the papers or filing a lawsuit against them for anything. That's why Carr was thrown under the bus. The AD the principal or the central office all ran and hid when the recording came out. Carr being the man he is stood up protected all of his coaches and took full responsibility. Central office should have laughed at the recording being turned in 4 months later. If it was so bad it should have been handled immediately. Another kid and family whining and pouting. Another kid Kenton co assisted in to setting up for failure in life. Carr taught accountability brotherhood team family. That's all the thinks this country has lost values. I hope the next coach is exactly the same as Carr

Brad was loyal and upstanding.
NKY Bandit
Having the whiny parent on the committee is a joke. Brad was the perfect guy for Scott and whomever you hire is a downgrade over that guy.
