Connor threw a gem tonight. Battled out of a bases loaded 1 out situation in the first and set it on cruise control the rest of the way.
Threw 90 pitches on the evening & finished with 85, 85, 85 (tops of the night) to close it out.
As someone stated earlier, Great Family!
Ok
I did a quick google search & saw an article from January, 2015 that had 9 or 10 districts listed that seeded. The 38th & 39th being 2 on the list.
Is seeding/draw per sport or across the board? As the article could have been referring to basketball based on date of article.
If this were the case, wouldn't the powers that be have made it known to those who were on staff? Therefore, they wouldn't have applied or be interviewed.
100% agree.
I know there are several alumi (former players) who would have been on the committee, As they would have the long-term interest of the program in mind. Not just the next few years.
Based post #249 1 parent complained numerous times that a player wasn't getting enough/any minutes on varsity.
The NKU ordeal was a different group complaining & perception not being reality. Unfortunately the effort or lack thereof of the top 7-8 players that night made Carrs decision easy to sit them.
The issue there was the parents from the other side of the floor decided Carr quit because he sat down on the bench. When in reality (I was right behind the bench), he sat down to coach the group on the floor, because every time he walked down by the top 7-8 he turned his attention to them & not the group on the floor.
Based on last names, I'm guessing:
Mark Gaskins - Teacher at Scott (former Carr assistant)
Andrea Sullivan - Teacher at Scott (wife of Tim Sullivan of Cooper)
Dr. Sapp - Principal at Scott
Meister - Parent (Son is currently a freshman, who played JV & sat Varsity)
Jolly - Parent (Son is currently a junior, played Varsity started 75%)
I'm guessing that Meister is the one who made numerous complaints about varsity playing time then, as Jolly got significant minutes.
Unfortunately he just wasn't quick enough to get varsity minutes as a freshman imo.
As stated numerous times, there should be no parents of current players on the committee. I'm sure there are several alumi that would have joined the committee who have the best interest of the program in mind as opposed to what's in the best interest of a player.
Didn't ask anyone to delve into his personal life.
People seem to know or think they know about his past coaching stops & have taken backhanded shots but with no substance, just sizzle.
Everyone that I've heard who is interested & applied (Minor, Fromeyer, Stapleton, Sullivan) seems to be of the same mold as Carr, intense & demanding.
That's not what you said.
From what I've heard, a vast majority of the basketball parents are not happy Coach Carr is gone.
I've gathered only 1 parent has indicated they want someone new. Grass isn't always greener. Guess we'll see.
