Has this job been officially posted?

Are sure this is open?

Yes. I can confirm the job is open.

Good luck with finding someone, or they better hire within. I would be scared to death to apply for a job that lets go a guy like Coach Carr. Good luck Eagles. The true loss is the kids because they are losing a mentor, not just a coach.

My understanding is the entire staff is gone, so hiring from within isnt an option.

Another coach gets the axe at Scott? First soccer and now basketball. I hope the reason behind the decision isn't similar to the soccer team's mess.

Doesnt Rod Snapp live in scott district?

Why was Carr let go he is a great coach, and even a better person?

Lots of discussion in this thread.

Yes...not sure he would want to leave Newport for that job, though.

I want to say his wife is in the Kenton Co school system, as well as his younger son, so there might be some appeal to the opening if there is also a teaching opening.

What is the background of their AD? Any ties to other schools?

I know several coaches that will apply.

AD is awful & in over his head. He's the one who should be job hunting, not Carr

Several times buses were not scheduled & players had to end up driving to away games.

I know several coaches that will apply.

Me too...the normal Asst coaches names will come up but I think this may cause a head coach to leave their current school.
