If I'm not mistaken, the Mustangs football program was on life support just a few short years ago. I'd say Coach Wiggins has done a pretty good job of making Brossart football relevant again.

They also beat Louisville Eastern the year after beating Madison Central. I know it's not much but 2 playoff wins sound better than 1. LOL

I think @The Double Deuce quote was pretty accurate. Campbell County could not move the ball much at all against a 1A school. I think the Breds handled them pretty easily. That was my opinion when watching the game in person.

Why is this even a thread topic? People who know NKY football know who Jeremiah is and that he's a great football player. Isn't that an honor in itself or do people have to talk about him instead? I'm confused.

I hope you're right, @MR.NKY. Those who know the program expected a rough season due to graduation. Unfortunately, the Camels just don't have the horses this year. The senior class is thin and when you have that gap, it's hard to compensate with sophomores and juniors. I know the players love Coach Woolf, so that's half the battle right there. I really don't see them winning more than 2 games this year but I hope I'm wrong. On the bright side, there are some very nice players in the sophomore and junior classes and the experience they'll get this year will serve them well next season. The Camels may be experiencing the dreaded cycle of a small senior class but they won't be down for long. Onward and upward.

And there has to be 15 penalties that have been called for both teams, which prolongs this out of hand game.

NCC has worn down the Camels in the second half. It’s going to be a LONG season for CCHS.

This is a very bad offensive game for both teams. Camels D woke up and is stuffing the run. Camels having trouble with ball security also. First one to double digits probably wins this one.

This will probably be a rough year for the Camels. They practically graduated most of the starters on offense and defense; especially at all of the skill positions. There aren't many senior players on the roster, but that group of boys have been thin for years, so it's not a surprise. This will be a growing year for sure, but there is still talent, especially in the current junior class. The QB battle will come down to either Justin Little (JR) or Preston Agee (SO). I'm sure Agee is the future but it'll be interesting to see if he's also the present when the season starts. The defense will have the luxury of LB Casey Rauch roaming from sideline to sideline. This kid is tough as nails and should make All NKY this season as a LB and a punter. Others to watch for are seniors Cooper Ackerson, Crew Berkley, Brady Brooks and the lightning fast Josh Pond. Juniors worth attention are Wes Barth, Derrick Minning, Seth McCormick, Blake Wasser and the small but might Kaden Morency. The junior class will help keep this team afloat with their size and talent. Coach Woolf will have the team motivated, I'm sure.

Congratulations to the Lady Bulldogs. It looks like USA Today has them ranked #3 in the nation. A 39-0 record is good evidence of that.

This is awesome stuff, @gchs_uk9. It's interesting to see how a team like Owensboro still ranks 3rd all-time when they have won their region only once in 30 years. They must've been a force back in the day.

So there was no way to reschedule this any sooner than next Friday? The weather isn't looking too bad after this weekend. This will make 13 days in between games. Head scratcher from me.

Did you see what he did in a 4x400 this past month? About 3/4 through the video, Matt starts his leg of the relay. The amount of ground he gained to win the even for his team is simply incredible.

I like how KHSAA lists all record holders for events that include the A, AA, AAA and national records. It's nice to see how each competitor compares to the best of the best.
