I see Matthew goes by the nickname "White Lightning" and the full school name is Strake Jesuit College Prep in Houston.

 

In addition to 9.98 he just ran, he ran a 10.22 recently too.

I have not been to a ton of track meets but a few and watched a few on TV. Why are they running that direction? Always seems to me that they go the other way. Wind?

Deceptive speed. Hard worker.

Interesting style. Looks like he is almost leaning slightly backwards and he still posted that time. Great stride. You can see where he pulled away that his stride just suddenly started eating up turf.
