I have not been to a ton of track meets but a few and watched a few on TV. Why are they running that direction? Always seems to me that they go the other way. Wind?

Harding didn't play for Newport. Becker didn't play for St.Henry. McGuire probably had 30 or better and what seemed like 10 threes. Miller probably had just as many points or more, driving to the basket a lot. Vieth had to be close to 30 and Westerbeck and Bessler in the 20's. Lot of scoring.

I do believe that B3 plays their home games at this location. Not sure about Covington Latin.

Played at the friendly confines of Big Bone Baptist Church, the Bearcats proved to be to strong for the Trojans of Covington Latin. I only caught the tail end of the game but had to stop by to see a high school game played out in these parts. Both teams played hard and was a fun game to watch. I believe the Big Trains of Silver Grove roll into "town" in a few weeks and will try to attend this one as well to see if B3 can slow down the states leading scorer.

Nice list @PP1 . Hard to argue with these rankings. Although I do think St.Henry beats Lloyd when they meet up. With the season over the half way point. Who do you have as your POY as of now? Thanks

Outstanding on the 1,000 points. Even more-so becoming the schools all-time leading rebounder. How many rebounds and who did he pass? (I would of guessed Doellman)

South Oldham's school website has it listed as playing in a "South end Shootout @ Iroquois High School". Gametime listed as 6:15 Have no idea if this is correct.

St. Henry finally gets off the schneid . Vieth played a nice game for the Crusaders. Seemed a little more agressive rebounding and going after the ball. Had to have a double double. Good play from the rest of the team. As stated in the original post for Ryle, the more things change, the more they stay the same. I thought Ryle played uninspired. I know the Benton boy can shoot outside, but at 6-8 I'd think the coach would make him post more for high school ball. Rankin does not seem very explosive. Kid works hard but not sure if he is battling an old injury or something. Congratulations to St.Henry on the win and good luck to Ryle going forward.

@PP1 I do not envy your task of ranking the teams next week. Do you go on "what have they done so far this year"? Or, where you think they will be when all is said and done?

I watched this titanic struggle on line last night so things may have looked different in person. St.Henry started 3 sophs. And thought they played fairly well. Ravenscraft gets his first varsity start and looked confident and played well. Bessler was his usual active self and has a good motor. I'm still not sure what position Vieth plays. I would like to see him inside more, cutting to the basket. I would think you have to give a little credit to the Crusaders for playing CCH tough for the most part. They tend to lose focus late in games. (poor shot selection, turnovers, etc). CCH hit 14-18 foul shots, so I don't think that is poor FT shooting as @Bluesport alluded to earlier. (unless the KHSAA stats are wrong). I thought CCH played fairly uninspired ball. Their interior passing was atrocious. And if they weren't significantly bigger then they easily could have taken another L last night. Congratulations to the Colonels on the win. And since I didn't attend, what were the frosh and JV scores? Thanks
