  1. Any updates on the tournament? matchups/gametimes today? thanks
  2. Some pretty nice looking places on airbnb at a decent price. Grayson 2
  3. A donation will be made in your name to the Human Fund for every like.
  4. Did Ryle and Lex. Cath play in the consolation round? Can't find anything on this one. thanks
  5. Kids ran more off and onto the court than they did actually running up and down the court. That was crazy. I wouldn't be able to watch that kind of stuff for a whole year if that is their typical game plan.
  6. For the time that is now, I think the rankings are pretty good. Maybe move Holy Cross up a bit, but thats about it. By seasons end, I'd expect Dixie to be up to the 5 or so spot. Thanks for the weekly update.
  7. He did get moved up to varsity the other night (vs.Ryle). McArtor is hurt and it helped the numbers bringing him up (even though they are different type players). In varsity action,he probably played about 8 minutes in the Ryle game and less than that in the Highlands game. So, yes he is still playing JV along with getting some varsity minutes.
  8. Highlands - Roberts 1 0 2, Hegge 1 2 5, Gabbard 6 7 21, Huber 2 0 4, Doe 3 1 8, Starkey 1 3 5, Gulley 3 1 7, Schoellman 2 0 6. Totals 19 14 58. St. Henry - Berling 2 1 5, Vieth 5 5 15, Schaeffer 1 3 5, Machcinski 0 1 1, Croyle 5 0 13, Becker 2 4 8, Westerbeck 2 0 5, Brockman 2 1 5. Totals 19 15 57. Halftime: H 30-24. 3-pointers: H 6 (Gabbard 2, Schoellman 2, Hegge, Doe); SH 4 (Croyle 3, Westerbeck).
  9. St.Henry won the JV game. I got there early 4th and they were up quite a bit. Non starters were playing and Highlands cut the lead to 3. I think it was #22 was throwing in some bombs for Highlands. St.Henry put starters back in and won by 8 or so. Bessler did play JV for St.Henry.
  10. Congrats to the Bluebirds on the win. St.Henry needs to get their act together. They do not know what is a good or a bad shot, and who should be taking them. Their entrance passes for the most part to the inside are atrocious. They continue to get beat down the lane on defense. I could go on, but think I need the 24 hour rule.
  11. When little, we would always get one from Gethsemani Farms (Trappist monks in Ky). They used to be the only type that I thought were any good. Haven't had one in years.
  12. Kid is a baller. He knows how to put it in the bucket, heck, I was hoping he would of gotten time last year.
  13. From Cincinnati.com Ryle (4-1) - A. Tarvin 2 4 9, Overkamp 4 2 10, J. Tarvin 5 1 14, Rankin 6 8 20, Smith 3 0 6, Benton 1 1 3, Schmitt 2 4 8. Totals: 23 20 70. St. Henry (2-3) - Berling 3 0 7, Vieth 3 2 8, Schaefer 2 0 4, Croyle 6 0 17, Becker 3 1 7, Westerbeck 2 1 7, Day 1 0 2, Brockman 2 0 4, McQueeney 1 0 2, Bessler 3 0 8. Totals: 26 4 66. Halftime: R 27-19. 3-pointers: R 4 (J. Tarvin 3, A. Tarvin), SH 10 (Croyle 5, Westerbeck 2, Bessler 2, Berling).
  14. Go Clones. Always good to beat the Hawkeyes.
  15. Ryle pretty much controlled this game. Was up by double digits for a large part of the game. Bessler for St.Henry gets his first varsity minutes and points and he looked good out there. @MentschTrachtGottLacht was right on about this one. I was pleasantly surprised. Vieth played well (and started) but had foul trouble. The 2 freshman will be pushing for a lot of minutes. Croyle carried the Crusaders in the second half. Ryle played hard and was just better than St.Henry tonight. Congratulations to the Raiders on the win. And @MidwestUnited was correct in having Ryle ranked over St.Henry in his/her weekly ranking. Good job.
  16. I was out on a farm visit one time giving a steroid shot to a cow out in Lincoln county when I was first out of school. Older farmer said " give me one of those chromosome shots for my knee". I told him there was only one way for me to give him a chromosome shot and I wasn't that kind of guy. He did not get it. The joke or the shot.
  17. I guess the reason for saying that I was impressed with Gallatin was, they competed from the tip and didn't back down. Walton is bigger and top ranked in the region (or near the top). They guarded hard, rebounded fairly well, were quicker than you would think and were never really out of the game until the 4 min mark or so of the 4th qtr. Gallatin will win a lot of games this year. Walton won by 20 but I wouldn't call it a beat down.
  18. Both teams played hard and it was a single digit lead for WV until midway through the 4th qtr. Stanley carried WV early scoring their first 7 points. Hope Miles recovers, he looked to be in a lot of pain and it was his left shoulder (and he's a lefty). That might be a nagging injury. Hope for the best. I was impressed with Gallatin. Kids just know how to play ball. Knock down a few more shots and its might be a different ball game if they meet again.
  19. Ryle, Conner and Boone have beaten nobody to be ranked ahead of these others. St.Henry beat Conner head to head, and Holy Cross has beaten Boone. And I'd have Villa ahead of Dayton.
  20. I know these things are always just for fun. So to add to the fun....Ryle, Conner and Boone are too high. Beechwood, St.Henry, Lloyd and Holy Cross are too low.
  21. St. Henry 55, Conner 52 St. Henry (1-1)–Berling 5 2 12, McArtor 2 1 6, Vieth 3 0 6 , Schaefer 4 1 9, Croyle 2 0 5, Becker 3 0 6, Westerbeck 1 5 7, Brockman 1 0 2, McQueney 1 0 2. Totals: 22 9 55. Conner (1-1)- Hicks 6 5 17, Craddock 3 1 9, Ginn 1 0 3, Gullion 6 0 14, Scott 1 0 3, Osterbur 1 0 2, Skiles 2 0 4. Totals: 20 6 52. Halftime: SH 25-22. 3-pointers: SH 2 (Croyle, McArtor), C 7 (Craddock 2, Gullion 2, Ginn, Scott)
  22. So many great episodes he was involved in with the Andy Griffith Show. We were just searching Spotify last night looking for a version of Santa Lucia by him (couldn't find one).
  23. Should be quite the contrast in styles. Wish I could make it.
