Starting senior point guard Brayden Cheeseman's father Callen Cheesman was killed yesterday on I 75 in his Owen Couny Electric truck. Thoughts and prayers to Brayden and his family and the entire Ryle Community.

Callen himself was a fine player back in the day for Walton-Verona and went on to have a stellar college career at Berea.

Just a shocking loss in a horrible accident.

Callen had a large impact on many of the kids who play(ed) sports in NKY. From Ryle to Walton, Cooper, NCC and many others. He gave a lot of his time to kids and helped both boys and girls be better players.

When talking with him, you had no doubt how much he cared about his family.

Wow, that’s shocking and sad…... I remember seeing him around the gyms all the time when our daughters played HS basketball at the same time (different teams).

He was always so friendly and energized, ready to talk girls’ hoops! Prayers to the Cheeseman family and to the Ryle community!! :cry:

Prayers and condolences to the Cheesman family on such a tragic situation. I roomed with Callen for a brief time at Berea. He had a passion for the game which was displayed in his work with kids.
