Who wins this battle in Northern Kentucky? Newport Central Catholic has made the drop back to 1A from 2A. They come in as the #5 team in Class 1A. Campbell County will be in rebuilding mode after losing a pretty solid team from last season.

Welcome to the smallest class NCC, but you better not relax.

Campbell is ready to beat their old coach and knows all his attacks.

If the Breds could win this game it would be quite the feat.

But in August go with Camels, they do better in the heat.

This is a tough one to predict. 6A Campbell County obviously has a bigger pool to draw from for players (46 on their roster), and a solid coach in Mike Woolf, but they're virtually going to have a brand new varsity team after major graduation losses last year. 1A New Cath is a smaller school, but has a comparable 46 players on their roster. They losta good number of major players to graduation as well, but their starting QB, Kremer, is one of the top 3 returners in NKY this year. They also 2 or the linemen back, and a small number of defensive players.

Both of these teams have a pretty major degree of "I dunno....could go well, could go bad" when it comes to this upcoming season, and this should be one of the most interesting initial looks we'll see out of Northern Kentucky in the first week of action.

The fact that a 1 A school beating a 6a school is in questions seems to be the issue. Campbell should win, However they probably won’t. Just M/O

Based upon the OL performance for NewCath last night (albeit against CovCath) I think CC will dominate the line....27-9 Camels

Watching last nights scrimmage, I think NCC has some real talent on offense with Kremer and Jefferson.

8-6 breds. Camels take over on downs at their own 35 2:31 to go in half

This is a very bad offensive game for both teams. Camels D woke up and is stuffing the run. Camels having trouble with ball security also. First one to double digits probably wins this one.

14-6 breds 6:33 to go in 3rd

22-6 breds 11:51 left in game

Breds have controlled the ball the entire game. I don’t keep stats but I can’t imagine the time of possession difference.
