Thor of Asgard
How about Dave Bezold stepping in to take over this job. I'm a Holmes grad and would love to see Bezold as our head coach next year, but it appears we have to suffer through another year of Listerman. Bezold will make an outstanding coach at Scott. The parents will love him, he knows the game and has coached at the D-1 level, and the 10th Region will have serious contender in Scott HS with Bezold as the coach. He is at Holmes as a teacher right now, I hate to see him go when the Bulldogs need a real coach. Best of luck to him at Scott is this is correct. Thor of Asgard
You started it who did you hear? JOAT answered it already. He knew as well.
rjs4470
How about Dave Bezold stepping in to take over this job. Great hire if true. Great for Scott, and for Bez, as he lives about 2 minutes from Scott, and already knows Ohmer very well, as Dave's son and Jake have played together in the past. Lives in Taylor Mill, is familiar with the players and parents, knows basketball like few coaches in the region. Bezold is a good person. I'm very glad he is getting back into coaching after what happened to him at NKU. Good things happen to good people, and congrats to David. Pi
Bezold is a neighbor and friend to Trame. I'm sure it's a good choice. But boy does this story reek...

Reading this post and reading how Carr got fired maybe explains a few things.
rjs4470
Reading this post and reading how Carr got fired maybe explains a few things. Doesn't explain anything. It's makes for a nice conspiracy theory, but that's all.
Thor of Asgard
Reading this post and reading how Carr got fired maybe explains a few things. There is no "conspiracy" at all. Carr was let go for legit reasons. Please stop blaming Trame for it. The hiring of Bezold is after the fact, not a result of some conspiracy. Next thing you will try to say "both Trame and Bezold are Holy Cross guys, so..." Not the case. Scott needs a coach. Bezold is the most qualified guy out there by far. Easy hire for Scott. Thor of Asgard
If the Holmes administration had any common sense, they would have hired Bezold as the next head coach to replace Listerman. Scott HS people acted with vision for the future, unlike Holmes.
Cousin Sal
Not to go too far off topic, but Listerman has coached at Holmes for 2 seasons, one of which ended in the regional finals. Why does he seem to be disliked so much?

Why does he seem to be disliked so much? Doesn't relate to the kids. He is off in some other galaxy when he tries to communicate to them. It's time for him to retire and enjoy life. If Holmes doesn't act soon, you will see the kids stay away and the results will be like this past season. Nothing against Listerman, but his message doesn't work these days. JesusShuttlesworth
Have heard Bezold doesn't want to coach high school basketball. Don't know if that's true or not. Certainly true that Trames had a direct connection in getting Coach Brad Carr fired (resigned) with the recording of a halftime speech at Christmas that wasn't turned in till two weeks after the season was over. Certainly fishy how all that went down. Guess that's the beast of how high school sports are now and kids are these days. Maybe that's the reason why society has been on a downward spiral as of late..

Maybe that's the reason why society has been on a downward spiral as of late.. I'm sure Bezold would prefer to coach college, but he also is in the Kentucky retirement system and needs to accumulate more years and Scott HS is a public school. The fact Scott HS has a ton of talent coming up and Ohmer makes this an appealing job. The funny part is NKU's top two assistants both resigned recently, Ragland and Nored. People inside are saying they had had enough of the 24/7 work requirements set by Brannen. I like Brannen and think he will do fine as a head coach, but losing your top two assistants after less than a year on the job is not good. He's talked with a junior college coach down in Florida about taking one of the assistant positions at NKU. Bezold has to be chuckling at that whole situation now. lol
