I'll be the guy who really defends Andy here when it comes to coming up short in the playoffs... 2011- That team was "just happy to be there" and was zero threat to win that game or do any damage 2012- Team was a little better, he missed one big throw to Green late that might have won the game. Overall, still wasn't a bad year. People do forget that during this season he essentially won a playoff game. Week 16 in Pittsburgh was a "play-in" game and at that time the biggest win in franchise history since at least 1990. 2013- This was the one that was inexcusable. Andy was awful against the Chargers that day. 2014- Team totally banged up, down a lot of weapons, etc. in the playoffs. 2015- What will forever be lost and not talked about nearly enough because of how that game ended was just how bad AJ McCarron played that night. He was awful. Dalton going out when he did that season cost the Bengals at least a bye, and maybe homefield advantage in the playoffs. Dalton was having his best season and the offense was lighting up the scoreboard most weeks. That team was loaded. So I don't think we need to have the "if he plays, do they win that night" talk, because they likely end up with a bye. You will also never convince me that a team that AJ McCarron took to overtime in the regular season (Broncos) on the road would have beaten a healthy Bengals team in the playoff that year, especially with 40 year old Peyton Manning out there against that defense. He was here for 9 years, the first seven of them most franchises would gladly take that quarterback play for most of a decade. With that being said, he wasn't as good as Palmer and isn't in the same stratosphere as Burrow.

Michigan's uniforms went to more of an 80's look when Harbaugh took over there. Honestly surprised we haven't seen more "throwback" looks in the last few years.

This! Scott Football is usually not very good. They had a few good years under Wooley, but that is about it. Whoever took this job had a lot of hard work in front of them. This is every bit of a 5 year rebuild, if not more.

I'm not an EE defender. I don't like Blue (or Red) Colonels at all. But most of this is true across the country. Numbers are down everywhere, excitement is down everywhere. He's a good coach. He might need a kick in the seat to make some changes, but he'd be unemployed for about 39 seconds if he got let go.

Kentucky 34-20. This will be Beamer's final game at home and maybe his final game period at South Carolina. IMO South Carolina will be first ones in the pool this offseason when it comes to the coaching carousel. Oklahoma likely joins them next Saturday.

The greatest sport in the world continues to marginalize itself, and this has nothing to do with NIL, portals, etc. The greatest thing about college football was every week meant something. You couldn't afford to jockey for position, slip up, etc. This tournament needs less teams, not more. Anything for a buck!

Agree with this, but I also think losing three out of their next five isn't a huge stretch either.

I think integrity is quite a word to throw around about asking people to enforce a growing number of safety fouls, formation rules, numbering exceptions, and in play fouls amongst 22 adrenaline charged teenagers at a time, for a low wage and zero accolade.

Coaches are asked before the game "is your team legally and properly equipped?” if they say yes, then it's on the coach.

I have watched a lot of Driver on film. He is a great player, and a force, and talented. None of that is untrue. BUT. I have spoken to a lot of people who know Boyle Co and know the game. I said nothing untrue and made no libelous statements. I have no dog in this fight, and no concern about what people think about him. I merely stated what I have observed and know. It's an anonymous site. I have no interest in making myself look impressive. I was simply stating observations from a trained eye. Nothing I said was false. And it was all clearly on film. The eye in the sky doesn't lie. Be as mad at me as you want. I just shared what I observed as someone who knows what they're talking about.

If #9 is standing up for 17 weeks, they will be really good. Any week he plays I think they are going to win. Any week he doesn't I think they are going to lose.

I watched the first half of the Boyle/LexCath game on HudlFan. And I have seen Driver play several times. I know you can't hear, but it's clear in the first penalty, he turns back to the LexCath sideline, and it's safe to assume it wasn't to tell them, "Peace unto your spirit." Several times in the first half, he is sent off for what looks like blood on his elbow, and his body language and gestures clearly don't convey a lot of respect for the authority figures. Finally, right after a play, an official approaches him to send him off (Haddix says for a mouthpiece) and the flag comes immediately. That tells me it was one of the no-no words and likely fast and loud. I've seen several other clips in other games of him being pretty demonstrative and playing fast and loose with the rules. I will be very surprised if the suspension gets overturned. But, KHSAA is full of surprises.

If the officials were to enforce 100% of the rulebook 100% of the time, games would last 7 hours and it would be unwatchable. To insist that uniform enforcement is a lack of integrity is putting pressure on people who are basically poorly paid volunteers.

Why teams just can't waive the white flag at a certain point in these games is just beyond me. If It gets up around 60-65 points and it's in the second half, it should be an option. You might have a few people calling them "quitters" but let's face it, the game is over.

I guess I just never thought I'd see the mouthpiece be part of a fashion statement in football. When they are just dangling, with colors that don't match school colors, it's pretty lame to me.

The "mouthpiece" and how they are used, not used, etc. is becoming exhausting, across all levels.

For what it's worth, I understand that Commissioner Tackett has NEVER reversed an on-field ejection. I could be wrong, but that's what I have been told.

NKY Football is Covington Catholic, Beechwood, and then Highlands in some order and then everybody else. This will start to become very clear across the northern part of the commonwealth this Friday night. Cov. Cath big, likely with a running clock.

As I understand it, it has to be taken ON the field, before the game. There is no regional measurement. And from what I gather it's on the "honor' system. Except at schools perhaps where an athletic trainer is used.
