I think integrity is quite a word to throw around about asking people to enforce a growing number of safety fouls, formation rules, numbering exceptions, and in play fouls amongst 22 adrenaline charged teenagers at a time, for a low wage and zero accolade.

Coaches are asked before the game "is your team legally and properly equipped?” if they say yes, then it's on the coach.

I have watched a lot of Driver on film. He is a great player, and a force, and talented. None of that is untrue. BUT. I have spoken to a lot of people who know Boyle Co and know the game. I said nothing untrue and made no libelous statements. I have no dog in this fight, and no concern about what people think about him. I merely stated what I have observed and know. It's an anonymous site. I have no interest in making myself look impressive. I was simply stating observations from a trained eye. Nothing I said was false. And it was all clearly on film. The eye in the sky doesn't lie. Be as mad at me as you want. I just shared what I observed as someone who knows what they're talking about.

If #9 is standing up for 17 weeks, they will be really good. Any week he plays I think they are going to win. Any week he doesn't I think they are going to lose.

I watched the first half of the Boyle/LexCath game on HudlFan. And I have seen Driver play several times. I know you can't hear, but it's clear in the first penalty, he turns back to the LexCath sideline, and it's safe to assume it wasn't to tell them, "Peace unto your spirit." Several times in the first half, he is sent off for what looks like blood on his elbow, and his body language and gestures clearly don't convey a lot of respect for the authority figures. Finally, right after a play, an official approaches him to send him off (Haddix says for a mouthpiece) and the flag comes immediately. That tells me it was one of the no-no words and likely fast and loud. I've seen several other clips in other games of him being pretty demonstrative and playing fast and loose with the rules. I will be very surprised if the suspension gets overturned. But, KHSAA is full of surprises.

If the officials were to enforce 100% of the rulebook 100% of the time, games would last 7 hours and it would be unwatchable. To insist that uniform enforcement is a lack of integrity is putting pressure on people who are basically poorly paid volunteers.

Why teams just can't waive the white flag at a certain point in these games is just beyond me. If It gets up around 60-65 points and it's in the second half, it should be an option. You might have a few people calling them "quitters" but let's face it, the game is over.

I guess I just never thought I'd see the mouthpiece be part of a fashion statement in football. When they are just dangling, with colors that don't match school colors, it's pretty lame to me.

The "mouthpiece" and how they are used, not used, etc. is becoming exhausting, across all levels.

NKY Football is Covington Catholic, Beechwood, and then Highlands in some order and then everybody else. This will start to become very clear across the northern part of the commonwealth this Friday night. Cov. Cath big, likely with a running clock.

As I understand it, it has to be taken ON the field, before the game. There is no regional measurement. And from what I gather it's on the "honor' system. Except at schools perhaps where an athletic trainer is used.

If he made nearly that much a difference he would be coaching in the NFL and not Anderson High School.

Both teams have clearly upped their strength and conditioning programs. Almost to a concerning level! lol.

And McGillis is a lot better player and shooter.

This is valid. Funny enough I was watching Driver highlights after I posted this and saw the big play, it was an absolute busted coverage by HHS. (That doesn't take anything away from Driver, just a glaringly obvious broken play.) Will be curious to see how the rematch goes this year.

Driver may have the best chance to play on Sundays, and I am not discounting that, but hear me out... He's not the best football player on this list. Carothers is great, has good measurables, but again, not the best football player. Zane Johnson is incredible, great QB. But not the best football. I'm biased, but the two best FOOTBALL players in the state are in two small independent school districts in Northern Kentucky. Tyler Fryman and Tayden Lorenzen. When it comes down to just pure, overall football, those are the two that are great in my opinion. The nod will go to Fryman because of his UK commitment, but, they both play both ways, (so does Driver) and they both are absolute monster game changers. Just one guy's biased opinion. But I think Mr. Football is coming to the northernmost edge of our state.

The Kennedy kid is a STUD. I am elated to see that he will still be a Greendevil this year. Should be fun to see him a year older!

This definitely throws the 10th Region wide open.
