Personally. I hate this argument. They won games. If they schedule Beechwood and Dixie over Holmes and WV, they lose 2 more games and still lose in round 2. Getting their face beat in twice isn't going to help them.

Wrong. The kids pick sizes that won’t fit. They’re only going to hurt themselves. Play dumb games win dumb prizes. -

If I owned one of them you'd be able to park there tonight, for a fee. -
What's the record for the worlds longest high school game? It may not make it out of the first quarter.

Best and worst excuses after a game

I could see that. I's imagine it took longer to get places back then as well. -
Best and worst excuses after a game

This one applies more to when two NKY teams are playing than anything else but "home and away". When the trip is a half hour or less and is 4-5 exits on 275 at most, that isn't traveling. I've also never really thought anywhere in NKY was that big a home field advantage because pretty much any and all fans can get there and get in. When you have to pull kids out of school early, consider renting charter buses, and completely change routine, I'll listen. -
Texans at Bengals Predictions/Updates

I'd be shocked if the Bengals don't win this game. -
No way Woolley comes back. I would also add Perrin to the list. He went after it last year and will again I am assuming. Personally, I think Nelson P or Joe Wynn are the best choices (outside of Rash and Marksberry, neither of which apply) I don’t think Black or Durstock have “it”

It needs to be big and obvious, and it needs to have actually affected the play.

For one school in Lexington and a few within a hour of Churchill Downs.

Academically and Athletically. I don't think this is a point in time anyone in Taylor Mill wants to remember. Sure. The building is getting a facelift. But, there is not a lot of positivity on Pride Parkway right now.

What penalty should teams that withdraw from the playoffs receive?
Pi replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
Absolutely none. Most of the teams that dropout, this year and in the past, are 4 seeds that are facing two plus hour trips, along with all the financial issues that come with it, to get their head kicked in. That is what makes things different than basketball, baseball, etc. First round district games don’t involve long trips and financial losses every year. Kentucky doesn’t need six classes of of 32 teams making the playoffs. There was routinely bad matchups when this was the amount of teams and only four classes. To many teams “make” the playoffs in Kentucky and this is what it leads to. I am sure I am in the minority on this, but if keeping 6 classes, I think only 16 per class is enough. If they are going to keep the current format,I know there is a couple districts where one or two good teams might not qualify, but you’d be shedding more bad than good. I will be interested to see how many three and four seeds win this week. As far as penalizing the teams who have tapped out, I’m not for it. I’m really surprised there isn’t more already. -
With the amount of transfers taking place it was bound to happen, I'm surprised it's not more.

This was the 3rd. Eminence had an ineligible player as well this year. Definitely interesting.

True story-- it's a cool look that the NFL/NCAA allows, but High School does not. So some kids attach a mouthpiece to hang, but also wear a mouthpiece that's not attached. Seen it more than once. People go to far too great of lengths to look cool. It seems laborious to me.
-
With both teams playing other districts in the first round, and likely the first two, that means you’ll be waiting until next October.

This is the worst news I've read online! Well-- I would pick Pasquales over DeShas! -

There's 3 options for dinner if you're in Maysville. DeSha's is fine, but I think it's over rated. Chandlers on Market Street is FANTASTIC. That's the go to. If you're looking for a little quicker/cheaper, Pasquales is the spot. -

2023 NKY Frosh Football Scores & Rankings
Pi replied to Colonels_Wear_Blue's topic in KY Football (High School)
Lorenzen is the best freshman I’ve seen in a long long time. And I’ve watched lots of football. So I find the claim of Fryman being leaps and bounds better, dubious at best. -
From what I have seen, I would be shocked if any NKY 6A school is still around come the third week of the playoffs.

Three observations: 1. This is so out of control. Water is over the dam. 2. The dealership that agreed to this has either lost their mind or has to much money, or both. 3. Wait until one of these cars is involved in a crime and they can't identify the license plate. That'll be fun for everyone involved.

Outside of high expectations, that is typically what the good NKY 6A teams are.
