Some schools will light as much of the property as they can during an event, I.e., a basketball game. Lots of folks on campus, and more light = less shadiness for shady activities.

I have been on both sides of this process. In a smaller district, the Principal/AD/Supt is fine, but I still think a trusted booster parent and/or assistant coach who isn't interested in the job is helpful. In larger districts, the Super has no business in interviews. It should be the Principal/AD and two other people, whether they are assistants, parents, or coaches of other sports, who KNOW sports and the program, that can offer insight.

That's certainly an opinion someone can have.

Looking at common opponents, they share 2. Johnson Central lost 94-71 to Boyd Co. GRC Beat Boyd 75-74 Johnson Central Beat Ashland Blazer 94-85 GRC beat Blazer 79-59. Those numbers tell us that this may not be a foregone conclusion. GRC has the experience and the depth, but Johnson Central is no slouch. Teams from the mountains bring a large contingent to Rupp when they have a chance, and I expect the Golden Eagles will have the crowd on their side.

I think the worst thing that happened to MoCo was winning the district. They may have played their hand and now GRC knows what to expect.

I think GRC avenges the district title with a region title.
