What's missed in all this craziness is, not only is Scott losing Coach Carr, there's a strong chance they lose the entire staff of Stapleton, Elsbernd, Frommeyer & Zeigler. I can see the first 2 being head coaches very soon

I know what was said. Aware of what they say, yes. Worried a player would record them, no. I have no issues with what was said by Coach Carr at that time in the season based on how they were playing as a spectator or a parent. Coach Carrs style is the same as it has been, probably has actually mellowed in the past few years. We're going to have to agree to disagree on this. The player crossed the line imo, and I know him personally & told him as such.

Here you go. Found it quicker than I thought I would. Just a little research using the scoreboard. The 4 years with championship game on Sunday (2013-2016): 3x champion played 1st semifinal game on Saturday; 1x champion played 2nd semifinal game (CovCath) 15 years prior (1998-2012) championship game played Saturday night: 8x the champion played in the 2nd semifinal game; 7x the champion played in the 1st semifinal game

I used scoreboard & went back as far as it goes looking at semis & championship game only & it was about 50/50 on early morning semi winner or late Saturday morning winner. I'm headed out to sons baseball games, I'll see if I can find my post with this info later tonight or tomorrow

It's my understanding that what was said was not directed at one particular player, more as the whole group. I would like to think that a coaches kid would think "would I want this to happen to my dad" before going through with it. What many don't realize is, 30 years ago Scott lost another great coach because the inmates & their parents were allowed to run the asylum then too.

But it does matter who recorded it. A coach who is & always has been as intense as they comes son recorded another coach. I guess I like everyone other than you expect different actions from a coaches kid. Unlike most, I've been in both coaches basketball locker rooms, & I have no issues with what either have said in there. Like many, I believe what is said in the locker room stays in the locker room.

What they are missing is that "the neutrals" are an older generation, who either aren't with us anymore or can't attend because of age/health. Example: My grandparents who had been going since the 40s (as kids) up until 2012 (grandma has passed; grandpa struggles with breathing & can't walk more than 50 yards even with oxygen tank. My dad, a "neutral", isn't a fan of the Sunday championship, didn't go this year for the first time since 1951. He was born in 1950. The "neutrals" like myself (44), I've only missed 2 Sweet 16s, aren't taking their kids like I do. My boys are 8 & 6,they just attended their 9th & 7th Sweet 16 this past March. The family tradition part just doesn't exist anymore.

It's my understanding that Coach Carr took responsibility for what happened which is why he resigned. I think where 99.9% on here have issues with the recording, is that it was a coaches kid who was behind the recording. Had it been any other player on the team, I don't think there's such a big deal being made.

Pendleton County & Dixie game at NKU Can't remember the other one off the top of my head and that's just boys games. Failed to get coverage for clock a few times when regular clock guy was not there. Had to get someone from stands to cover

Exactly. He also doesn't leave it on bad terms. Seen many hand shakes & hugs handed out to the kid he was all over during a game

Disappointed to find out that a group of young men stabbed in the back a coach that had the backs of each & every player in that locker room at all times. They might not regret it today, next week or next month, but at some point they will regret what they did. They cost a guy his job.
