I don't know any details, but our friend has passed suddenly. I offer a prayer for him and especially his wife and sons who he adored with all his heart.

 

I had the pleasure to get to know AL through Facebook and BGP, and to meet him. He was such a good man, truly caring and honest in all his thoughts and deeds. He was utterly committed to God and his family. I will miss him, and for me, BGP will not be the same without him.

 

I will pass along more as I am able to find out. Please offer prayers for him, and especially his family....Momma and The Kicker especially.

Terrible news. The BGP community will not be the same.

WOW! Sad to hear of his sudden passing! Even though we seemed be be on opposite sides of most issues, he was passionate about his beliefs.

I am so sad about this. I never met him, but I was hoping I would someday.

He was a one of the good guys. Condolences to his family. I will be praying for him and his family at Mass today.

Like TOG this one floored me. His family lost a good man who obviously loved them. I pray for "Mama."

 

I guarantee you he has a huge smile as he prepares to enter heaven.

I too am shocked by this news, I loved AL's post and reading his thoughts on a variety of subjects. If BGP ever has a hall of fame he belongs.

I am shocked I just read his thread lastnight about college coaches he seemed like a great guy and father prayers to his family in his honor roll tide.

I am so sorry to hear this. I never even got to meet the fellow. He will be missed.

I saw the first few words of this thread title from the preview on the main page and I was really hoping the last few words weren't going to be this. Sorry to hear this.

Hate to hear that -- he was one of the most entertaining posters on here. Deepest condolences to the family.
