TheDeuce
"By contrast, total military spending on erectile dysfunction medicines amounts to $84 million annually, according to an analysis by the Military Times — 10 times the cost of annual transition-related medical care for active duty transgender service members. The military spends $41.6 million annually on Viagra alone, according to the Military Times analysis — roughly five times the estimated spending on transition-related medical care for transgender troops." The military spends five times as much on Viagra as it would on transgender troops’ medical care

lawildcat
I don't think the government should be paying for anybody's viagra whether in the military or on the government's welfare dime. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think insurance companies stopped covering it.
bballfamily
From another article I read the prescriptions go to retirees and active duty personnel. They did not break it down as to which group received what % of the dollars. Cannot help to think that the bulk went to the veterans.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think insurance companies stopped covering it. Government pays for a lot of stupid stuff. I have a cousin who is considered disabled because she has panic attacks. She gets full assistance and the government has paid TWICE for her to get in vitro fertilization. She has had two sets of twins and she has never had a job in her life.
