That may be true this year, but over the last decade, SK has been BY FAR the most consistent winner in NKy and better than Cov Cath most years. Furthermore, BW and Cov Cath both are benefitting from substandard football programs in Boone County. Take that player migration away, and both programs come back to earth!

Leadership extends well beyond the HC to athletics administration, principal and school board. Different school districts (and privates) have different priorities. Academic ratings typically fall into a higher priority than on field athletic achievement. That being said, other than a moral failing, I don't believe there is any good reason to fire a coach. Pay is so low in this state, they are essentially volunteers for a job that is so demanding, that the pay in some states is 100 k plus!

Is there any second guessing from the Ryle faithfull regarding how Chisolm was used in the last two regular season games? I thought that nearly 50 carries against SK might come with a price later on down the road. I can understand Ryle wants to beat SK at all cost, but given they are no longer district rivals, should Chisolm have been used that way, and should he have sat out against Dixie?

The deterioration of athletic programs in Boone County is certainly boosting Cov Cath, NDA and BW.

I would be inclined to expect a BW running clock, if, this were not the last game of the year. Would Coach Rash play starters if the game is under control given that playoffs start next week?

Who are we kidding? BW will roll through 1A like a heated knife through butter! Could well be running clock in every post season game!

Ok, I'm biased, but Jeff Marksberry deserves consideration. 10 years ago, SK was a perennial doormat, winning 1 - 3 games a year. Now they win double digit games for 10 years now. Its one thing to win when you have championship caliber talent every year, quite another when you do not.

It is often the choice of playing sophomores in freshman games, or, not playing freshman games at all.

I don't think I can recall a weaker year for 6A football as a whole.

How do these guys get athletics jobs in KY after what happened in Fairview?

Perhaps later in the season, but not preseason. Lots of injuries to key players.

Assuming that BWs comments about Shearer never playing QB at HHS are true, does that place doubt about BW's ability to evaluate talent? Clearly, Shearer has proven BW wrong.

Yes, but it was previously posted that legacy facilities would remain as practice facilities. Have you considered the title IX concerns over putting football in an elite stadium, and girl's programs on the dirt school stadiums?

Other than T and X, what program(s) can really fill up a stadium? I don't get down to Louisville much, but in Lexington, once basketball starts, the football stadiums are empty, even in the playoffs!

What happens to the other sports that use the field/stadium? Soccer? LaCrosse? Where does everybody practice and play?

I agree that this talk is very premature. Everybody talks about SK scheduling, but who exactly has Cov Cath played? I don't see any state powers on their schedule. Yes their QB is very good, but will they have 4 QBs in a row with D1 offers?

Other than gate revenue, I don't see why Beechwood schedules Cov Cath. This has been a total beat down for as long as I can remember. Playing a top 5 5A program is too big of a jump for 1A, even if you are BW. In all honesty, BW looked like a freshman squad next to Cov Cath.

I have seen this relative to the alumni portion of my question, and, not in football. We observed what seems like bias based upon a the experience of an official's child in a rival program.

Slightly different twist. Should referees recuse themselves from games that their children are playing for , or, are alumni?
