oldrambler
Another thread got me thinking that it would be interesting to see who everyone says is the best NBA players ever, or in your opinion the best that you remember watching? List as many or as few as you want.
oldrambler
Personally I don't know if I could list them in order. Right now I will just name the ones that I can think of in no certain order. Bill Russell Wilt Chamberlin Bill Walton John Havlicek Kareem Abdul Jabbar/Lew Alcindor (his real name ) Larry Bird Maurice Lucas Elvin Hayes Karl Malone Majic Johnson Michael Jordan Kobe Bryant I know that there are plenty others, I don't watch a whole lot of NBA now and am sure there are some that I just am not thinking of. As for Lebron James, he as far as I am concerned can take his talents elsewhere.

TAC
To quote Chris Mullin, former Dream Team player referencing Michael Jordan. "He is the best player that has ever played the game or will ever play the game" I have to agree with him.

Kobe MJ Magic Bird Thomas LeBron Stockton Malone Mullin Wilkins Olajuwon Ewing Robinson Duncan Miller Shaq Barkley Pippen King Kareem Moses Dr. J That is off of the top of my head. May have missed a few but I named guys who I think would still excel if they played today and vice versa.

oldrambler
Noticing the name on a couple of other post I have to add Tim Duncan and John Stockton to my list, can't believe I had forgotten them.
oldrambler
Listing them in order for me is next to impossible but I will try. COACH: Red Auerbach M. Jordan W. Chamberelin L. Bird B. Russell M. Johnson K,A, Jabbar E. Hayes K. Bryant J. Havlicek K. Malone Like I said, its impossible for me, I could do it over and have a compltely different order. Except for Jordan, he was the best.

oldrambler
I am very interested to see how history treats Tim Duncan. He is always forgotten.:thumb: Duncan is great! I know what you mean, he definately belongs amoung the very best. What's the take on Pete Maravich? Pistol Pete is imo one of the very best/elie college players ever. Maravich was imo more known for his college carrer than pro. He still was a very good pro.
Da champ
What's the take on Pete Maravich? Pete is in the same boat as Archie Manning was. Both were in New Orleans with terrible teams. Two of the best college players of all time.
