  1. In no way am I taking up for Pete. He was raised up in a different generation. My parents were his age born in 1941. They got married at 16 and stayed together till my mom passed at 58. Pete was and never will be the sharpest tool in the shed. To accomplish what he did would be very unlikely this day and time. As for gambling, look at the world we live in. Of all the major sports I would guess that baseball is becoming more entwined with gambling as any of them. I grew up with the Big Red Machine, so I'm invested with the Reds for the rest of my life. I would say there were a lot of things with that team no one knows about. Reason being is the media is a thousand more times involved with every aspect of an athletes life than ever before. Unfortunately with the world we live in. Doesn't seem to be many folks saying, "Well, that's their business. So I'll just stay out of it..."
  2. Just another case of the owners boy being full of himself. Never experiencing real life as a normal person. I grew up with the Big Red Machine so I'm invested for life. With that said, no excuse for saying that. Love going to the ballpark and will always root for the Reds.
  3. Les, does Knox Central travel to Clark County in February as well?
  4. This team is a much better road team than at home. Makes one wonder what's going on night before the game.
  5. Walt Jocketty would talk Castellini into getting this bullpen fixed. Would have cost us some good young players though.
  6. I went to Thursday's game. I'm 0-2 for the year and 32 runs have been scored by the visitors... 😱
  7. I see that scar on Joe Burrows knee. How can I possibly pick anything but an Offensive lineman?
  8. Well, it was my first game of the year yesterday. Turned out to be a nice afternoon and the game was entertaining. Bullpen was atrocious. Didn't think Doolittle did enough to make the squad in spring training. He proved that yesterday. Perez can't throw strikes consistently. I'll still hope Romano will work out. Sims will be ok. If Garrett is gonna close he needs to bring the heat more often. Antone will eventually need to be a starter. Love the Reds and always will. Hard to beat a day at the ballpark even if a 24 ounce beer was $14.25...
  9. I don't see how they make it so good and sell it so cheap.
  10. Wife and I like both but my vote is Costco because of the meat.
  11. I hated to see that. Joe Burrow is a tremendous talent. If there is a bright side to the injury. Our chances improved greatly at drafting Penei Sewell, the tackle from Oregon.
  12. I think what NASCAR is doing is brilliant. Darlingtom is a track that will provide a lot of drama. Not to mention they're showing up to race with no track time! There is a reason its called the "Track to Tough to Tame"
  13. Kahn's Bologna, slice of Colby cheese, slice of tomato, crispy piece of lettuce and two slices of bread. Sometimes a small swipe of mayo. Deelish!
  14. Didn't see that ending happening. Set up for a season 4 which I hope happens sooner than later.
  15. I like Will Ferrell plus a big Nascar fan. So I like Talladega Nights but to me Step Brothers is his best.
  16. I voted for Tom. Based upon Bill's losing record at Cleveland along with playing in the East sure helped.
  17. Last year they started using spacers at all the tracks to limit horsepower. Along with the new aero package it was to create more competition. (Or one might say closer pack racing) Greatly improved the racing at the mile and a half track but hurt the short tracks. They have went back to the old aero package for the short tracks. Should help.
  18. Thankful for good news. That second hit...man, how could one not think the worst.
  19. First time I went to Daytona was 1983, Cale Yarborough broke 200 mph for the first time in qualifying but on his 2nd lap lost control and flipped the car to nullify his time. A good race back then was if there were 5 or 6 cars close and on the lead lap. That was great! Yesterday I believed they only had 6 cars at the finish. Speedweeks 2020! Let's Go Racing!! Oh! Cale won the 83 Daytona 500 in a backup car.
  20. Of all my players. I was most confident in Drew Brees...wrong.
