  1. Brady Unitas Elway Montana Namath To me, Unitas’ streak of 47 consecutive games with a touchdown pass is the greatest stat in NFL history. Remember, the streak happened from December 9, 1956 until December 4, 1960. He also tossed 110 TD passes during the streak.
  2. I firmly believe the days of huge crowds are over regardless of venue. It’s just a different world. And whoever came up with the tip off times for the second games of sessions and handling of the cheering sections needs to reevaluate for next year. Oh yeah, been saying for years Ticketmaster is the devil.
  3. I think I’m correct in saying Kentucky dropped the Lady Cats nickname in the previous century. All women’s and girl’s teams should follow suit.
  4. Being from Gallatin the thought of traveling to Goshen for a “District” game is little to much. Heck, Buckner is too far as well. Also, Gallatin and Owen should not be in separate districts. The rivalry has become must see basketball. Yes, they could still play twice, but the seeding aspect makes the games much more intense.
  5. Dossett surprisingly played for Gallatin in the finals on Saturday and had 13 points and 10 assists.
  6. Does anyone know if they will be selling tickets at the door?
  7. I can’t comprehend that North gets a bye to the regional tournament.
  8. Owen surrounded her in the low post and picked off several entry passes. Some that weren’t stolen sailed out of bounds. She wasn’t manhandling Ferguson and Moore.
  9. I find it hard to believe that the 32nd doesn’t play a round robin within the District to decide seeding. Not saying Grant couldn’t have won at WV or SK, but they basically got the 1 seed by beat both those teams on their home floor.
  10. No surprise here. Game was in Dry Ridge and the Braves had the best player on the floor. I believe Grant earned the top seed in the 32nd District Tournament.
  11. Final from Warsaw. Sophomore Kellen Dossett connected on 8 first half three pointers and scored 26 by halftime. Dossett finished with a career high 28. Freshman Kandyn Beckham hit 3 from beyond the arc and finished with 11 points. Ashton Gullion contributed 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. Gallatin made 16 of 40 three pointers to run their record to 10 wins and 5 losses.
  12. Final from Eminence in the 8th Region All A semifinals. Gallatin (8-4) advances to Saturday’s championship game against Walton-Verona at 5:00. Senior Drake Skidmore hit 8 of 13 from beyond the arc and finished with 28 points. Zac Johnson came off the bench to score 16 points. Kellen Dossett added 9 points and 9 assists and Ashton Gullion contributed 6 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds.
  13. Final from Warsaw in Saturday afternoon action. The Bearcats stormed from 18 points down (44-26) midway through the third quarter to within one point three times in the final minute. Gallatin (4-3) survived when Anderson missed a 3 in the final seconds and the follow shot rolled off the rim as time expired. Sophomore Kellen Dossett led the Wildcats with 19 points. Drake Skidmore scored 19, Logan Riddle had 13, and Mason Arnold had 11 points and 14 rebounds.
  14. The Wildcats scored the first 18 points and cruised to the victory. Five Wildcats scored in double figures. Kellen Dossett scored 13 to go along with 6 assists and Mason Arnold had 12 and 11 rebounds. Kasen Baker scored 11 and Logan Riddle and Zac Johnson added 10 apiece. Trimble was without the services of James Thomas Wilcoxsen, who is nursing an injury.
  15. Final from Warsaw. Neither team had a lead of more than 4 points through 3 quarters as Gallatin took a 36-35 lead to the fourth. Owen took advantage of Wildcat turnovers early in the fourth to grab a 50-40 lead with under 4:00 remaining. Gallatin rallied to within 3 points late, but Owen held on for the 57-54 victory. Unofficially, Teagan Moore led the Rebels with 34 points. Brad Ward added 11. Gallatin once again had balanced scoring. Zac Johnson had 14, Kellen Dossett 13, and Logan Riddle 11.
  16. Mason Arnold and Kellen Dossett scored 16 points apiece and Arnold grabbed 11 rebounds.
  17. Final from Warsaw. Very entertaining game tonight that saw Gallatin battle through serious foul trouble. The Bearcats led 38-34 at halftime and tried to pull away in the second half. Gallatin trailed 76-71 with two minutes to play, but WV hit their free throws down the stretch to claim the victory.
  18. After 27 seasons and 455 victories Jon Jones has stepped down as the Wildcat head coach. Vance Sullivan has been promoted from JV coach to the head coaching position.
  19. Just announced all home games will begin at 6:40 in 2022.
