WILDMAN
I would agree with Bo Roaden, but not some of those others. Sure they all were good players but not tops in the past 25 years. I was speaking of the Akal that coaches @ Cumberland (Derrick). I can see what you are saying but I honestly think that Josh Brock and Rick Jones are legit from Corbin. Rick was on pace to be a Mr. Basketball while at Corbin but went to Scott County and won it instead. Brock was a 4 year starter and helped lead Corbin to two 13th region titles and a 29-2 record his senior year. He averaged around 17 points his sophomore, junior, and senior years. RMGS
I agree with you oldschooler....I graduated from Male with Johnny, he's a great guy. I just didn't want to be pro-Male with this list, so I left him off. But I agree should be on the list. :thumb:
NEERFAN
Draud is pretty much a 9th region legend, Harney was good but Draud was a scoring machine.
BigStud
Draud is pretty much a 9th region legend, Harney was good but Draud was a scoring machine. Harney isn't at NKY legend? Not to many people from the 9th have his resume.
cshs81
Harney isn't at NKY legend? Not to many people from the 9th have his resume. Obviously was a very good player - went D1 - strong resume. However, to put him above the all-time leading scorer who played without benefit of a 3 pt line is hard to digest.

jaq
One of the best within the time frame listed in the 11th is Michael Allen from Bryan Station. Vince Taylor was in the 70's. Winston Bennett definitely belongs and another name missing was Manuel Forrest. Both of these guys were Parade All-Americans

Nets
I probably should have put Adam and or Jimmy Tackett from Greenup County in there as well. They were BIG TIME!

Sandman
I'm seeing a lot of debating, but I haven't seen a top 25 from the Ninth. I'll take a crack at one. NOTE: These players are numbered but are not in any order, simply going off the top of my head. 1. Scott Draud 2. Derek Smith 3. Ross Neltner 4. Jack Jennings 5. David Dinn 6. Dickie Beal 7. Ronny Dawn 8. Justin Doellmann 9. Joe Harney 10. Troy McKinley 11. Jeff Krohman 12. Corey Pouncy 13. Keith Green 14. John Brannen 15. Mike Brock 16. Jim Pangello 17. Rob Padgett 18. Jay Stenzel 19. Brendon Stowers 20. Andre McClendon 21. Jesse Jett 22. Todd Clark 23. Brennan Votel 24. Kevin Eilers 25. Big kid from Walton, graduated in 85 or 86, went to Wright St., but had back problems that shortened his career. Can't believe I can't remember his name. N9ner
25. Big kid from Walton, graduated in 85 or 86, went to Wright St., but had back problems that shortened his career. Can't believe I can't remember his name. I know who you are talking about too. The name is at the tip of my tongue. Let me think for a while and get back to you on that one. 83birds
Scott Benton was the kid from Walton. And if we are creating a list of players from the last 25 years there is no way that Willie Schlarman is not on this list. Possibly even Tom Freppon from NCC. UNDERTHEBRIDGE
Here's some 11th region players...I'm not much for players before the mid-90's, so this is just a starter Chris Current/ Frankfort Roni Robinson/Franklin County Jerome Givens/Woodford County George Baker/Dunbar Camerons Mills/Dunbar Darnell Burton/Dunbar Matt Heisenbuttel/LexCath David Graves/lex Cath Vondale Morton/Lex Cath Shawn Fields/LexCath Demetrius Green/lexCath Harrison Morton/LexCath Justin taylor/Tates Creek Vince Taylor/Tates Creek Steve Miller/Henry Clay Aaron Dunaway/Henry Clay Lamont Campbell/Henry Clay Robert Madison/Lafayette Vince Sanford/Lafayette Prince Stewart/Lafayette Nimbo Hammonds/Bryan Station Barry Bowman/Bryan Station Butch Jointer/East Jessamine Marquis Estill/Madison Central Kenneal Jenkins/Madison Central I'm getting tired now, so that's all I'll post. To be honest, I always thought Willie Graham meant more to Lex Cath and the 2004 team than Green at times. His ACL tear in the first round of Region may be the only thing that kept Lex Cath from winning state that year. They definately would have made the sweet 16.
