Cumberland: Was the Akal you mentioned Derrick or Hewitt? Derrick had more accolades but Hewitt Akal was possibly one of the best pure players in the region that I can remember in quite some time. Add more surrounding talent and he would have been unbelievable.

There is no way Scott Draud should be on the 2nd team....He averaged over 30pts a game as a senior without the 3 point line......He would shoot bombs from NBA 3.If the 3 point line was in use he would of averaged 40 points or more a game.Best High School shooter that I have ever seen....AWESOME BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just ask Scott Draud about David Dinn from Boone County. They both played during the same time period. I say if Scott Draud makes the team David Dinn shouldn't be far behind.

I would agree with Bo Roaden, but not some of those others. Sure they all were good players but not tops in the past 25 years. I was speaking of the Akal that coaches @ Cumberland (Derrick).

I like Johnny Mathis-Male, Some may not agree but I believe he is won of the top PG's to ever play in that region, he's a Creighten now I believe

I agree with you oldschooler....I graduated from Male with Johnny, he's a great guy. I just didn't want to be pro-Male with this list, so I left him off. But I agree should be on the list.

He's on my first team if you have to take scholmer off. But if I had to choose I'd take Harney and Beal first. Harney could score and Draud wasn't half the defender Harney was.
