The Bengals (5-6) travel to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars (8-3) next Monday on Monday Night Football. The Bengals did not look real well in Browning's first start. The oline was mediocre at best the defense was not any better in giving up over 400 total yards to a Steeler team that had not accomplished that since 2020. The Jags are coming off a hard fought win on the road at the Texans. It came down to a 58 yard FG miss by Houston that actually hit the cross bar. The game will be on both ABC and ESPN.

There is no flexing Monday night games, right?

No unfortunately the whole country will have to watch what we did yesterday. lol

They can flex two games on Sunday in weeks 11-17 and if has to be a game already scheduled for Sunday afternoon to be flexed. Here below is the main basic guidelines the NFL calls it NFL Flexible Scheduling 101:

Begins Sunday of Week 5

In effect during Weeks 5-18

Up to 2 games may be flexed into Sunday Night between Weeks 5-10

Only Sunday afternoon games are subject to being moved into the Sunday night window.

The game that has been tentatively scheduled for Sunday night during flex weeks will be listed at 8:15 p.m. ET.

The majority of games on Sundays will be listed at 1:00 p.m. ET during flex weeks except for games played in Pacific or Mountain Time zones which will be listed at 4:05 or 4:15 p.m. ET.

So I think they can flex MNF but with enough warning, there is not enough time left to flex us out of this game. This was discussed an off-season or two ago and some teams (I think the Bengals were one of them) were vehemently against this idea, but ultimately the NFL won out.

Yes this is the first year that they can actually according to the NFL they can flex games to Monday night and also for the first time Thursday night games.

According to the NFL games in weeks 5-18 can be flexed into the Sunday night game only if they were already scheduled for Sunday afternoon. Only two fames can be flexed in weeks 5-10. Also now the beside the network the NFL can flex any game to the Sunday night game in weeks 11-17.

Only games in weeks 12-17 can be flexed to Monday night.

Only games from weeks 13-17 can now be flexed to Thursday night.

No games can be flexed to any of the 3 primetime spots in week 18. A game for week 18 can be flexed/moved from 1:00pm to the 4:00 or 4:25 slot by the NFL only.
