For HRC to narrowly win KY, a state her hubby dominated during each of his runs, says a lot about her electability. Many thought she'd be in trouble in EKY due to her energy stance against coal but in reality the election is won or lost in the suburbs of Jefferson County. A socialist nearly beating her tells me that KY is not ready to let her off the hook for all of her past deeds.

Fox News David the coal counties strongly went Bernie but Lexington and Louisville carried Hillary.

No shock there. She burnt that bridge. I bet if hurt those guys to vote for Bernie but he was the one least likely to impact their jobs.

That group will be strong Trump voters in the fall. Lex/Lou did what they always do....vote for whomever has the most money.

I would ask how anybody could for her or Trump. I'm still puzzled by this.

When Trump first started I liked his straight-talk, but it didn't take long for that appeal to go away. When he said what he said about John McCain, he lost me.

Having said that, I cannot comprehend why Hillary is viewed as the lesser of the two evils. I've had a few people who plan to support Hillary try to explain, but I'm not seeing it at all.

Bernie didn't win the mountains because of coal. He won because of his own brand of populism.

Sanders is a Vermont socialist with WAY more ties to environmental issues than Hillary. Anyone who voted for Bernie because they think he'll protect coal jobs better than Hillary is laboring under a pretty strong delusion.

Sorry Getslow, when I see the word "President" along with that name I get nauseated.

I don't blame you. I mostly said that because the reactionary circle-jerk this forum turns into sometimes gets irritating and I was hoping for just that reaction.

If there was someone I liked better, I'd consider voting for him or her come November, but I don't see it. Trump is a non-starter for me. I'm no libertarian (so that third party vote is out) and I'm no socialist (so I wasn't supporting Bernie in this primary).

What's a fella to do?

Do you honestly believe that?

HRC has been called out, in writing and in the media as having lied to legal investigators in the course of executing their role. That is official lying. She has been documented as basically obstructing justice in a legal matter though she was never indicted.

There is no known equivocation of these actions that map to Donald Trump.

Is Trump a saint? Probably not. But he has not obstructed justice in formal investigations either.

You are qualifying their lying.

I was merely pointing out that it's not like they both haven't shown a tendency to twist truth and lie for their own gain.

I'm not trying to set one up as greater in the evil category. If I were, it would be HRC and everyone else about 20 levels lower.

I've been told by a few who feel this way that the past 8 years haven't been all that bad for them personally (working professionals FWIW), and they see Hillary as pretty much more of the status quo. With Trump, they're terrified about what his bullying antics may mean not only to the economy, but also our national security.

I've convinced 2 of them to at least look into 3rd party candidates, but I doubt any of them actually vote that way. Oh well, I've tried. :idunno: :lol2:

Pretty much hits the nail on the head. If all we ever saw of Hillary was her resume, we'd all be saying she's the most qualified presidential candidate we've seen in years. Obviously that's not all we get. But there's the old saying about the devil you know...

I'm in the same boat as you. Trump has always gotten on my nerves and I'm not sure if I could ever vote for him, but that being said, I had told myself that I would vote for Clinton if it came down to the two of them, but I can't stomach the thought of voting for her.

My wife says that Trump, who she is voting for, cannot be as bad as Hillary, that he just needs a much better filter on his mouth and on social networks. I'm still holding out hope for Biden, otherwise I may have to vote 3rd Party.
