Watched that when it came out. A lot of exclusive footage that until the internet, was hard to ever find or view.

Ron Finley had some very tough teams but never could get past the Corbin/Somerset hurdle.
-
Actually Boyle had longevity from the 70's on. Buchanan was from '68-'73. Ed Rall was from '74-'87 and had a winning record. Sam Burke was one year interim. John Griggs was from '89-'91. Then Chuck Smith came.
-
Darius Miller in 2012. James Lee in '77 and '78. Ron Mercer and Wayne Turner the last half of '96. Don't mess with the JuJu.

He had a great team in 74 but only one could go to tourney and David Thompson kept him out. I seem to recall he had a great team in Davidson but didn’t make the tournament
-
He never did. He had a few teams that were capable, but never did win it.

So, is this schedule final I assume?

I wonder if the assistants are afraid to say something to Cal like it appeared that Ulis wanted to. How often as Call spent a few seconds of a TO to consult his assistants? It's like he has a board of Yes Men behind him.

Multi Year contract I believe. Played this time last year.

Georgetown. Easily one of the best programs in the 80's and into the 90's. Nothing since. St. Johns is in the same category. The rise of UConn seems to have brought the demise of the Johnnies.

I’m remembering that Pulaski County came back from a large deficit in the 2003 playoffs. Alas it was long ago. And my memory is not what it was. -
I'm not sure Bradshaw should pack his bags. He can't handle the physicality of the NBA. At least not at this point.

I echo everyone's sentiment. The Guard Defense has to get better. And for one who mentioned Wagner, Dillingham and Reeves I would definitely add Reed Shepherd. If he can't steal the ball, he's a huge liability on stopping the drive. I'm still very high on the motor and balling nature of this team.

I was in town and at the game because my Dad was a Senior on the Junction City team that won the District in 1956 and my mom, who is living, was a cheerleader. That was a great experience for our family. The injured player seemed to be a real difference maker but when he went down Boyle just pounced on the Cardinals with their speed. I pray he recovers well from that night. -
Liberty was in over their head.

Kentucky Mr. Football biggest snubs

1989. I felt Donnie Redd of Danville should have been Mr. Football. Great career and then moved to QB his Senior year and the Ads had one of the fastest Wishbone Backfields I've ever seen. I think Pookey Jones was the winner and I'm certain deserved it but Redd was the consumate great player every year he suited up. -
I think it helps the team for Sheperd coming off the bench.

The Great Dynasties of Kentucky High School Football

From 1985 to 1992 were the darkest days of Boyle football. One winning season, '86, and the teams weren't competitive. Talent pool dried up and like you said, many athletes opted out of playing. But what Chuck did was special and pretty immediate. Only one losing season (his second) in his tenure and by '96 had defeated Danville and made it to the AA Semifinals only to lose to Breathitt County during their run by a TD.
