  1. Scuttlebut is that our 2nd big will be healed enough to play some minutes in this game.
  2. 1989. I felt Donnie Redd of Danville should have been Mr. Football. Great career and then moved to QB his Senior year and the Ads had one of the fastest Wishbone Backfields I've ever seen. I think Pookey Jones was the winner and I'm certain deserved it but Redd was the consumate great player every year he suited up.
  3. I think it helps the team for Sheperd coming off the bench.
  4. From 1985 to 1992 were the darkest days of Boyle football. One winning season, '86, and the teams weren't competitive. Talent pool dried up and like you said, many athletes opted out of playing. But what Chuck did was special and pretty immediate. Only one losing season (his second) in his tenure and by '96 had defeated Danville and made it to the AA Semifinals only to lose to Breathitt County during their run by a TD.
  5. I think there is a lot to see in this loss about some things. DJ Wagner is a must have for this team. Foul trouble and fatigue in a close game won't be as difficult to overcome when he is available. Depth is needed for this style of play. I think Reed and Dillingham make their most impact when they come off the bench. The other team has played 5 minutes and then suddenly they are hit with two guards who play even better than the ones they have been battling. Bradshaw will be okay once he gets into game shape. But there needs to be at least one other "big" to bring Depth. Just my take.
  6. I do. Head to head at Alabama by 10 has to count for something no matter when it was played.
  7. I don't think it sounds crazy at all. If you watched the Corbin/Boyle game you'd believe there is a strong case for them being the 2nd best in KY.
  8. I think they tried. They threw the ball 17 times, were sacked 4 times and the QB ran with it some because he did not have time to set up. It was about half the offense.
  9. Colonels had an outstanding year to finish 14-1. Boyle has proven they are the Best Team in the State IMO. Throughout the season they’ve answered every challenger. In their last 3 games they’ve defeated three unbeaten teams and the last two convincingly.
  10. Rock beat Cov Cath in a close one to get to the finals in 2001. they trounced HHS the next year to get to the finals.
  11. That one referee has made every close call for Miami to try and keep it closer
  12. Don’t know too many Rebel fans on here thinking that way. We remember 2019 vs Johnson Central.
  13. We need size, rim protection and rebounding bigs badly.
  14. It surprised me that he kept doing it. Had he done it in the season and just not had it called?
