Well here we are, Highlands has a fun little road trip to Boyle County.  90% of the pollsters thought Boyle should still be undefeated but Lex Cath had other ideas ruining this matchup to be between 2 unbeatens.  I don’t think that’s going to take away any of the hype between these 2 storied programs.  I expect a full out war between these 2, especially with Boyle being the home team and Highlands making the over 2 hour bus ride.

Luckily I missed how the Birds played in the 1st half last night so let’s say if they play like they did against Cooper and the 2nd half of the Campbell County game the Birds fans should be super excited about this upcoming game.

Game time: 7:30pm

let's GO BIRDS!!!

After last night, I don't know...

Do we have video of this one?  Will the students from Boyle be broadcasting it?

Fire the season started we were all thrilled with how tough of a schedule the Birds had, and if they lost a couple or 3 how the Bluebird faithful would react. Well here we are and they’re perfect so far. With Boyle losing to an ok LexCath team I’m taking the Birds, based on their defense, then running, then passing game. I just think the size up front on offense and defensive lines will wear teams down and the speed on defense is very good.

Good luck both teams.

Boyle/ Highlands had a nice 2 game series in 2019 & 2020. Coach Weinrich’s last 2 years at the helm.

2019: at Boyle, Boyle won 30-0

2020: at Highlands, Boyle won 46-7

Time to flip the script!

Go Birds!!!

My pick was Highlands here regardless of yesterdays outcome, now I feel even better about it.

Highlands 28

Boyle 14

Better than recent Highlands vs not better than recent Boyle.  If Birds aren’t getting cocky, Highlands 32- Boyle 21.

And everyone, this is the current link for the video broadcast of the game:

I think that Highlands gets back on the winning side in what should be a good game. Good luck to both teams.

Remember those two games very well.  Been to all the game between these two teams.

2003 Boyle won 22-21 in a barn burner and 44-10 for the State Championship.

2004 Highlands returned the favor and won both game and broke Boyle's 5 peat on Championships. Don't care what the KHSAA says Highlands won on 9/17/04.

2011 Highlands won 35-14 when Boyle was struggling.

2012 Highlands won 52-31.

2019 Boyle shut out Highlands 30-0 when they were struggling

2020 Boyle clocked them at Highlands 46-7

Series is tied at 4-4 in my book.

This pic was an existing attachment from the 2020 game thread.

Boyle has an awesome stadium and game time environment. Good luck to both teams.

Boyle 29-14

I'll go with the Birds in a close one.

Birds by a smidge!

Boyle 35-13
