The week full of fun starts Thursday! Beechwood (5-0) travels to the Fort against the Birds (4-0) for another game of teams unbeaten. Someone will take the "L" for the first time this season. Kickoff: 6:30 @TheConfluence will have a nice synopsis what to expect.

Thank you, I was just about to say they have allowed @Brennan_Bucher in with bluebird radio in the past, but no other livestream option like 859sportsradio or 859Insider will be there I believe.

Cov Cath has their own "pay per view' channel. Someone smarter than me can post that link. I just checked and the link for this game isn't up yet. I don't think they will allow any other streaming option. I believe the price to pay for 1 game stream is $10.

It's Rivalry week in NKY Kickoff: 7pm Highlands (5-1) is rolling strong these last few weeks with a huge district win against Harrison County 78-6. I think everyone that is a Freshman on up logged minutes in that game. If KHSAA didn't restrict middle schoolers from playing Varsity football we might have seen some of our up and coming talent in the FTJFL. Cov Cath (4-2), comes into this with a huge win for themselves against Central 41-14. They needed to right their ship after a hard fought loss against their neighbors Beechwood Tigers the prior week 35-42. Who will come into this game with the best game plan for this Regular season heavyweight matchup. After Cov Cath owned this rivalry winning 9 straight from 2016-2022. Highlands has hit back and won 3 out of the last 4 in this rivalry. Let's have some fun! Go Birds, Beat Colonels!!!!

Our 1s were done after a quarter'ish. Freshman's game was cancelled on Thursday, and its Cov Cath week coming up. Harrison Co has a choice to bail on District games like Holmes chose too. Instead they played the game, kudos to them. Gotta get the reps in! The bench was emptied! GO BIRDS, BEAT COLONELS!

The creator of kyhssports.com was the guest on this show the other day. Was a good listen, the sound didn't start for a few minutes so it's not you it's the show.... But the sound will eventually kick on and is a good show to listen to if you want to hear why this guy did it and what's the future of it.

This will be a multi thread topic. This thread is for everyone to submit their game they believe could be the Biggest upset during this timeframe. What classifies as an "upset' is up to the beholder. I don't want to put any constraints in this. What I would like to see though is a fairly good write up "why' you classify it to be one of the Biggest Upsets. I don't want a simple comment of "ABC High School over DEF High School in 2021'. Please go in depth on why the game would classify it being an upset, to allow the audience to understand why that game would be part of this thread. Here would be the minimal requirement in the submission: Teams, Year played, Reg Season/Playoff game, why it would be considered a Big Upset. What will happen when the conversations slows down? Once this thread slows down, in a few days maybe a week, I will create either a Top 5 or Top 10 (depending how many games get submitted, that passes my thought as being considered a Top Upset). I will then create a new thread only considering those Top Upsets then the BGP members will be able to vote in a poll on which one they consider as the Top Upset since 2005. Depending how good this thread goes, I will (at a date to be determined) create a new thread for Biggest Ky High School football upsets (Prior to 2005). Let the submissions begin....

A District battle heading to the Fort Kickoff is set for 7pm Harrison Co travels to Fort Thomas with their 0-5 record to meet up with their District competitor Highlands Bluebirds. Highlands comes in as the 4A #1 team in the state, riding a 4 game winning streak after their opening game loss vs Frederick Douglass. How bad will this get and how fast will it take? O and its Homecoming, so there might be at least a decent crowd at the beginning with the Homecoming festivities and Class Reunions coming in to watch a football game for a bit. Prediction; Birds by 90 Streaming will most likely be available, check back later in the week for the link

We have ourselves a nice little battle going on in the Fort tonight. The team from Park Hills travels into the Fort to face the undefeated Highlands Bluebirds. This should be a fun physical, spirited match like it has been for 40 years! Also, I thought with the new reconfigured/reconstructed Tower Park Soccer Complex with the FT Film & Broadcasting crew streaming home games I thought this might be a nice game for everyone to take a look at the new pitch! Cov Cath comes in with a record of 4-2-5, having probably the best Goalkeeper between the pipes in NKY potentially in the state! They are licking their wounds from taking the loss against Lex Cath on Tue 1-2. Highlands comes in with a clean 9-0-1 record, the only game they didn't win was the heat lightning shortened game at half duel against Cooper. They are riding high after beating Dixie at Dixie 2-0 on Tuesday, Cov Cath also beat Dixie 2-0 earlier in the season. If you can't attend, enjoy the stream! GO BIRDS!!!!
