The Rebels travel to Louisville to take on Ballard this Friday. The Bruins (2-3) got back in the win column this week knocking off Fern Creek 35-8. Boyle County (3-1) coming off a win against Highlands and a BYE week should be well rested and ready to get back into the action.

Who wins and why?

Boyle wins by 3-4 scores.

Boyle should be getting healthy coming off the bye week.  Should have two offensive linemen return and possibly QB Baylor Murphy.

Ballard game could be very competitive.  10 point victory for Boyle.  Hope Glicod is carrying this game.

Interesting stat is Ballard beat Lexington Catholic 19-6 first game of the season. Lexington Catholic beat Boyle Co 17-7.

So this could/should be a very good game.

Come on up to Ballard on Friday night and support the kids and coaches in person. High school sports = butts in seats. And, JCPS could use the gate revenue.

Wonder how often the transitive football property proves valid in football?  Or, is there such a property at all?

Ballard wins at home by 4.

If there was I’d sure like to see the results from it to see how accurate. But I’m a man that says each team matches up differently so a different outcome is very possible.

This isn't the stoutest Boyle County we have seen... but you are going to have to score some points to beat them. I don't see Ballard having enough offense to get it done.

I will say Boyle 21-7.

I think that both those games were an early season anomaly, but should be a good game.

Good test for both teams.

How does Boyle handle an athletic and aggressive Bruin defense?

Can Ballard deliver 4 quarters of productive offense vs a well coached Boyle defense?
