This is the second game of the Rebel Bowl at Boyle County. Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM.

LCA enters this one 1-0 off a 20 point win over North Hardin. I did see the QB for LCA was hurt and left the game, but the backup came in and did a fine job leading them to a win. Coach Watkins is now 1-0 at the helm for LCA, and they have a lot of talent all over the field. The Darland brothers are studs, and LCA always has a big line.

Boyle enters this one 1-0 off a 50-7 win over Bullitt East which saw the clock run in the third quarter. Seneca Driver only played one drive on each side of the ball, so his status will be one to keep up with as well. A plethora of players caught balls and made plays for the Rebels. QB Baylor Murphy was named offensive MVP and DL Cliff Yocum was named defensive MVP of the Rafferty's Bowl. 

These two teams have had some battles the last few years. Who takes this one? 

I'll go with Boyle Co by 21. LCA better than Bullitt East so closer game.

I like Boyle County by 3+ touchdowns.

Is this one being streamed, anywhere? 

These predictions indicate Boyle Co has reached Trinity status - like virtually no one can challenge them. I understand how they can be viewed that way but Boyle didn't even make the state semifinals last year. 

I thought LCA's 41-21 win over 6A #10 North Hardin was one of the most impressive wins of opening weekend.

Are you all saying LCA has no chance in this game?

Like a lot of teams probably too much concern over the Atherton scrimmage. Also maybe feeling too good after beating Bulliet East.  I don't think Bulleit East is very good especially offensively.  I do think a lot of people wrote Boyle off before the season because of what they lost from last year and I get that somewhat.  I think Boyle is better off with everyone doubting them and keeping them lower in the rankings.

I was impressed with LCA last season.  Only team that forced Boyle to punt the ball the entire season.  Well coached, discipline, with hard nose players that play team ball.  I look for them to test Boyle and make them a better team down the road when the playoffs start.  After all isn't that why you play teams in the regular season to prepare you for the real season.   To this day I believe Boyle never would have beaten a 2021 Johnson Central team for the State Championship had LCA not shown Boyle where their weakness was on run defense giving up 446 rushing yards.

Agreed.  I don't think the Boyle defense has really been tested yet.  It definitely will be by the time district plays comes around.
