I'm making two statements.

  1. CAL is the best small school team in my memory and probably in Kentucky HS Football History

  2. They will win the rest of their games by at least 21 points per game

Agree or disagree.

Small school being lower half of classifications, which is 3A or smaller in current 6 class alignment and 2A or lower back in the 4 class alignment.

If you don't think CAL deserves that title, then I would love to hear about any team who could make that claim.

  • CAL fans should pump the brakes before saying they can handle Trinity as well as the Moellers, Andersons, CBC's, Cincy X's, etc on the Trinity schedule. Checking the CAL schedules for the last 5 year

CAL would give Trinity a game if not win on a perfect night.

I've not been around a long time. But I would say them and those dominate Belfry 2013 or 2012 teams. Can't remember which year was better but those are the best two teams I've ever seen.

Calpreps predicts Trinity would beat CAL 38-31. Too bad we won't be able to see it this year!

No way! CAL is not on the level as THS and never will be

I finally took my time and watched them. Wow! Very good football team.

We can agree to disagree. Brown breaks a few and makes it a tight game.

3A is not a small school. Play Beechwood.

This is the definition per the post. 3A is a small school for the sake of this argument.

CAL has more top end talent than anyone in the state. Trinity has more depth and more very good players. I'd love to see that game.

They're a private school out of Louisville, Kentucky. To me a small school is from a rural area. Now if you want to say strictly based on enrollment then maybe but no school from Louisville can be considered a small school to me.

2015 and 2016 were the two best teams Belfry had in that run. They played in the championship 7 straight years. They lost to Central in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Those 3 teams were good but not legendary. They won the next 4 titles, but the last two teams were really good.

Then which one of those two teams that were better and this Cal team are the best two teams I've ever seen on film or in person. Cal is unreal. Their safety is one of the best safeties I've ever seen and plays RB as well and he is the 3rd best player on this team. They got everything.

That is a debate even among Pirate fans. They were both very good, but neither of them was on the level of this CAL team.
