We get a rematch of a game that was played three weeks ago. Wayne went on the road and brought it home for district 7 as they knocked off Harlan County 26-2. They ran for 193, and threw for 84. Defensively, they were stifling. Held a team that is predominantly run to -9 yards and only 40 passing.

Boyle also took care of business round 1. They got the running clock 52-6 over Whitley County, and didn't give up a TD till a kick return was taken to the house late in the game. They returned two punts for TDs and a lot of people got in the scoring column.

A few weeks ago this score was 53-7. Will it be any closer this time around?

  • I almost had a pick 6 and would have been my first against Wayne County in 1980.  Playing noseguard coach had be back up to middle linebacker and I got me a INT.  Only need 5 yards to get in the endzo

  • Looks like again this week Boyle has sponsors for the game and there will not be a charge.   Special thanks to Todd Tiller and Kentucky Farm Bureau, Renae Ellis and Salted Wellness, and Glenn Hur

  • Boyle is 9-0 all-time vs Wayne, dating back to the early 1980’s.  None of the games have been relatively close.  Don’t look for any change to that on Thursday.

Ready for this week to end and week #3 to get here!

Beat down part II

Boyle is probably practicing for Corbin on Sunday and Monday, Covington Catholic on Tuesday and Wednesday and having a walk through on Wayne County Thursday. Boyle wins by running clock on Friday.

Not sure.  Assume to get a extra day to get ready for the 3rd. round game.   I do know last week was requested by Whitley County.

Boyle big. Congrats to Wayne on the win at Harlan County though. That's not easy to do in the playoffs!

Hopefully there's a valid reason. shouldn't be allowed without circumstances beyond their control. I would think there's some competitive advantage to getting the extra day.
