Looks like Hillary won Ky primary.

Recommended Posts

Pretty much hits the nail on the head. If all we ever saw of Hillary was her resume, we'd all be saying she's the most qualified presidential candidate we've seen in years. Obviously that's not all we get. But there's the old saying about the devil you know...

Of course we live in a nation where roughly 80ish% of the country will vote in roughly equal proportion based solely on the letter next to a candidate's name, but in my opinion this is the most rational perspective. Again, in my opinion a sizable percentage of Trump votes have to be chosen primarily by emotion. Choosing between our two frontrunners whether one or the other is the objectively worse human being is simply a matter of degree or opinion, and while I really really really dislike just about everything Hilary is and stands for, I just don't see how someone can have even remotely the same fears with her in charge versus the Donald.

Hillary says things just as bad as Trump, just not always on Nat TV. Its been reported how she treats her workers and helpers. She has more of a foul mouth than Trump.

At least Trump doesn't pretend to care, he does care. I dont think anyone for Hillary can say the same. She doesnt care for America. She cares for her ego and herself.

The worst thing* you can say about Clinton is that she's a classic politician, with all the baggage that entails. But that is exactly what would make her the "lesser of two evils" in a match up with Trump: She has a pretty clear track record in governance and would probably do whatever she thinks would be popular.

Trump, on the other hand... I can't think of a best case scenario that doesn't involve him outsourcing the work of president to more competent hands. It's true he's breaking his maiden in running for public office (but I surely wouldn't describe a billionaire celebrity as an "outsider"), his campaign has risen to popularity by stoking the anger of prejudices, his few concrete policy positions are fantasies (Mexico will pay for a wall, he'll "negotiate" manufacturing back to the USA, etc.), and he otherwise appears entirely ignorant of most other policy issues, especially foreign policy. His speeches are based around juvenile insults and platitudinous promises (he'll be "terrific" on whatever issue pops into his head). And that's not to mention his crude personality and sleazy business practices. I can't can't get my head around his appeal to anyone.

*Conspiracy theories and general derangement aside.

Things such as this:

In all, Clinton made at least 94 appearances before corporate and other special interests between 2013 and 2015, earning more than $21.6 million for her services. A review of federal records, regulatory filings and correspondence by The AP showed that almost all the 82 corporations, trade associations and other groups that paid for or sponsored Clinton's speeches have actively sought to sway the government — lobbying, bidding for contracts, commenting on federal policy and in some cases contacting State Department officials or Clinton herself during her tenure as secretary of state.

Hillary Clinton's disclosure also shows that her husband made an undisclosed amount of money last year in consulting roles for two international interests — the Dubai-based Varkey GEMS Foundation and Laureate Education Inc., a global for-profit education firm. Bill Clinton ended his relationship with Laureate last year after earning $16.5 million as the operation's honorary chancellor, according to previously-released Clinton tax records. Bill Clinton also has made more than $5.6 million in an honorary role for the GEMS foundation.

The Clintons were broke when they left Washington and are now millionaires. They didn't get that $ cutting grass or washing cars.

They obviously owe a lot of huge Political favors, and who they may owe them to is what is scary to me. The fact that she has sold out to the highest bidders does not seem to bother enough people to keep her from power though. :idunno:

I don't blame you. I mostly said that because the reactionary circle-jerk this forum turns into sometimes gets irritating and I was hoping for just that reaction.

If there was someone I liked better, I'd consider voting for him or her come November, but I don't see it. Trump is a non-starter for me. I'm no libertarian (so that third party vote is out) and I'm no socialist (so I wasn't supporting Bernie in this primary).

What's a fella to do?

I know what you mean about who to vote for. And I'm still trying to decide what to do. I'll just wait and see what happens at the convention.

I would ask how anybody could for her or Trump. I'm still puzzled by this.

He's really good at addressing some legit fears people have about our great country . Plus he's a man. a real freaking man. Not a weakling who you have to question whether he wears the pants in the family or not . And even if you dont agree with him you can appreciate he wont play both sides as much as the typical politician Thats why . And he's not under FBI investigation.

Wonder how much the optics of the race would have changed if the old socialist ( Sanders) would have carried Ky ? 2 more races , 2 more loss's for HRC . Momentum would have been HUGE for Bernard . She's already seen as a very weak candidate . IMO she saved her campaign last night.

Not saying I want a man above a woman . Just not a liberal woman.

Nice back slide after telling us you want a man's man ... "a real freaking man" ... in the White House. What happened ... the wife see the previous post?

The race is over. If Hillary loses every single primary left from May 1 on including Kentucky, she still will have more delegates and Bernie and I am not including super delegates in that.

It us up to the FBI to stop Hillary from being the Democratic nominee.
