2024 Outlook

The Warriors look to improve on a 9-4 2023 season that saw them claim another district title, but fall 10 points short in a region championship game against a very good Cooper team. Southwestern will be without their leading rusher from last season, Christian Walden, and will have a few new faces on the O-line. But, they return a large amount of production on both sides of the ball. This program has been very close to a breakout—could 2024 be the year that we see Foley's squad at Kroger Field?

2024 Schedule (2023 Record)

Week 1: vs. North Hardin (1-10) at Campbellsville High School

Week 2: BYE

Week 3: at South Warren (9-3)

Week 4: vs. Belfry (8-4)

Week 5: vs. Mercer County (10-2)

Week 6: at North Laurel (8-5)

Week 7: at Harlan County (1-10)

Week 8: at Franklin County (13-1)

Week 9: vs. South Laurel (5-5)

Week 10: vs. Pulaski County (4-8)

Week 11: at Henry Clay (0-11)

Record prediction anyone?

7-3 at the worst with losses to South Warren, Franklin, and Pulaski. 9-1 at the best with beating PC, and only dropping one between South Warren and Franklin.

I believe 7-3.

Looking forward to that South Warren game. I’m anticipating it to be a close one.

Already looking forward to that October 18th date. ?‍☠️

Bump.

Adding Antjuan Dumphord will be a nice addition.

What position will Dumphord play?  He will be an asset regardless of what position it is.

I would assume WR and safety.

Where did he play last year?

Wayne Co. Big body receiver. 6’5ish with decent speed.

He needs to get multiple touches per game. The question is, does that happen if he is at WR in SW's run heavy offense?

Look for Dumphord to get touches.  He may take some snaps at QB would be my guess.  So much talent, they will find a way to get the ball in his hands!  Big and strong running back Braxton Walters should make a name for himself in this offense this season.  The real strength of this team looks to be their defense with maybe the best LB core as a whole they have fielded in some time.  A new young D coordinator has this group fired up!
