I actually like watching them putt on these greens. Kinda makes me feel like they're ordinary guys like me. I love that "god I hate this green" look after they miss a 6 footer. I have that look 18 times a round.

Fixed that for you doc.

Watching Jason Day may be painful. He looks a little shaky to say the least. Vertigo must just be awful.

The greens are going to be bad the rest of the day. Early they were OK. Now you can actually see them changing colors (po is growing out and is lighter in color). On Day's second putt on #2 , the announcer actually said "it looks like it hit something"...yeah a piece of the po...these greens are just awful!

Tell me about it.

I have Meniere's Disease, and until I got it (mostly) under control, I would often have multiple episodes of crippling, nauseating vertigo daily. I couldn't lift my head, much less play golf.

Some random thoughts...

Kudos to Jason Day. Win or lose tomorrow, the guy was a warrior for battling it out there today. Heard caddy say he was ready to quit 2 or 3 times on the back nine, but gutted it out.

On the course itself, mixed feelings...but, in the end, I have no problems with the pros having to "deal" with some different type of conditions. And the fact that we've got a group of 4 that are tied for the lead at -4...means that there's several who have figured out how to play it.

On Fox broadcasting it...they should stick to football. I'd give them a "D+" grade right now. Charles Davis looked like a fish out of water doing the after round interviews. Holly Sonders was a little bit better. I thought either one of them having to press the "play button" on the tv (to start the highlights) was cheesy. (What are we, George Michael and the Sports Machine?) I'll give Fox a thumbs up for the shot tracker. As was mentioned earlier, it was cool to actually see the flight path. However, their following of the ball from any other camera angle, completely, totally, 100% without a doubt, sucks. It seems like they don't have anyone that can track a ball on approach. It almost reminds me of that quote on how to catch a knuckleball (Wait until it stops rolling, then go over and pick it up.) Seem like a lot of these guys have to wait for the ball to stop rolling before the find it and can zoom in. In the end, it just feels like Fox is worried more about the gimics (drones, remote control cameras, mic'ing the holes, etc.) than solid coverage in between.

And finally, anybody else think Jordan Spieth could be Jay Bruce's younger brother?

Agreed. The coverage by FOX has been awful. Thought i'd enjoy Greg Norman. Have not. On the fence on the course. It is interesting

Did you catch his explanation on Vertigo?? A several minute ramble about "stones on your ear hair follicles" and how to get them realigned to cure the problem. He's not an eye, ears and nose specialist, but he must have stayed in a Holiday Inn express.

Never heard of that disease Papa but I am glad I don't have it! Yikes!!! Glad it is under control...at least mostly!

The above average playing golf member at courses around the USA couldn't break 100 from 6,000 yards on that ridiculous layout of a course. I'm all for using courses that pose a challenge for the world's best but don't trick it up so much that it makes it a joke. Gary Player is spot on with his assessment. This country has too many great courses to choose a course like this one for its national tournament.
